WASHINGTON, DC: Former Wyoming representative Liz Cheney sounded the alarm following the Super Tuesday GOP results where former President Donald Trump stomped out all possible contenders for the Republican presidential nomination after securing key primary victories in over a dozen states across the country.

The former Republican congresswoman has been vocal in her critique of the 77-year-old MAGA strongman who’s well on his way to clinching the third consecutive presidential nomination from the GOP.

What did Liz Cheney tweet about Super Tuesday’s results?

Cheney, a former Chair of the House Republican Conference from 2019 to 2021, posted on X (formerly Twitter), “The GOP has chosen. They will nominate a man who attempted to overturn an election and seize power. We have eight months to save our republic & ensure Donald Trump is never anywhere near the Oval Office again. Join me in the fight for our nation’s freedom.”

Last year, when the former president declared he would only operate like a “dictator” on “day one” if he were to return to the White House, Cheney cautioned Americans that they ought to “take everything that Donald Trump says literally and seriously.”

"There's a lot that has to be done to begin to rebuild the Republican Party, potentially to build a new conservative party. But in my view, that has to wait until after the 2024 election because our focus has got to be on defeating Donald Trump," Cheney shared with ABC News.

Last month, on February 28, Cheney tweeted arguing that voters should pay close attention to the evidence in the Department of Justice’s case against Donald Trump concerning his efforts to overturn his 2020 election defeat ahead of this year’s general election.

She wrote on X, “Delaying the January 6 trial suppresses critical evidence that Americans deserve to hear. Donald Trump attempted to overturn an election and seize power. Our justice system must be able to bring him to trial before the next election. SCOTUS should decide this case promptly.”

Cheney, the author of ‘Oath and Honor: A Memoir and a Warning,’ which was just published last year, recounts the first-hand account of the violent attack on the Capitol building on January 6th, 2021, spurred on by then-President Donald Trump who along with certain elected Republican officials, dismissed the rulings of dozens of courts, and attempted to overturn a lawful election.

The elder daughter of former Vice President of the United States Dick Cheney and Lynne Cheney declared during her interview on CNN last month that if Trump were to win another term, the GOP may have a “Putin wing” that might “take over the West Wing of the White House.”

Cheney asserted, "We have to take seriously the extent to which you’ve now got a Putin-wing of the Republican Party. I believe the issue this election cycle is making sure that the Putin-wing of the Republican Party does not take over the West Wing of the White House."

Internet disregarded Liz Cheney’s projections surrounding Donald Trump’s potential second term

People on X lambasted the ex-Wyoming congresswoman for her dire warnings concerning Trump’s return to the White House.

One X user remarked: “Correction The People have chosen and we ain’t backing down. #Trump2024TheOnlyChoice #Maga."

Another user said: "You lost. You will keep losing. You are a pathetic has been. Every time I read your posts, I revel in the fact that you will never hold public office again as a republican. Accountability is coming."

Another user stated: "The people have chosen."

One user wrote: "You betrayed your own party and got voted out for it."

Another X user quipped: "The people of Wyoming have also chosen. You weren’t it."

Finally, this user tweeted: "We took a step towards saving the republic when you were thrown out by voters."
