'You will lose regardless': Internet mocks Donald Trump as he celebrates Michigan's decision to keep him on ballot
DETROIT, MICHIGAN: Former President Donald Trump emerged victorious as the Michigan Supreme Court dismissed efforts to remove him from the 2024 presidential election ballot.
Celebrating the decision, Trump condemned the attempt as a "pathetic gambit to rig the Election" against him.
Donald Trump's victory at Michigan Supreme Court
In a statement posted on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump declared, "The Michigan Supreme Court has strongly and rightfully denied the Desperate Democrat attempt to take the leading Candidate in the 2024 Presidential Election, me, off the ballot in the Great State of Michigan. This pathetic gambit to rig the Election has failed all across the Country, including in States that have historically leaned heavily toward the Democrats."
Trump went on to draw attention to the recent decision by the Colorado Supreme Court, which led to his removal from the ballot in that state, as he noted, "Colorado is the only State to have fallen prey to the scheme."

Expressing dissatisfaction, he stated, "That 4-3 Colorado Supreme Court decision, which they themselves stayed, thus keeping me on the ballot as we go up to the U.S. Supreme Court, is being ridiculed and mocked all over the World."
"We have to prevent the 2024 Election from being Rigged and Stolen like they stole 2020 – just look at the complete mess we have as a result with Crooked Joe Biden violently destroying everything in his sight, from our once-great Economy to our once-fair Justice System," he continued.
"We have to save our Country from decline and the Radical Left. Make America Great Again!" the former president assertively concluded.
Donald Trump slammed online after Michigan victory
Critics responded on social media, with one posting on X (formerly Twitter), "You will lose regardless. But Democrats only need a few, Don the Con. Justice will prevail."
Another wrote, "Liar. After primaries, was suggested to bring it back to the courts. Will be fantastic since SCOTUS will deny your immunity and actions were not in the capacity of the presidency. You are SCREWED!!"

"The Michigan Supreme Court punted the case back to an intermediate Appeals Court, that dismissed it on procedural grounds. God, you Lie about everything!" read another comment.
"I hope you are on all the ballots. I want you to know that people had the chance to vote for you but didn't. I know it won't matter because you'll just claim it was cheating. It's only cheating when you lose, right? Sore loser," someone else added.
"Insurrectionists are ineligible-- same as those under 35 and those born in another country. No one is doing this 'to You.' You did this to yourself! You were warned to stop and concede the election. Instead, you led an insurrection. Too bad," another alleged.

Donald Trump pushes back against Colorado SC's decision
Trump, previously condemning the Colorado decision earlier this month, wrote in all-caps, "BIDEN SHOULD DROP ALL OF THESE FAKE POLITICAL INDICTMENTS AGAINST ME, BOTH CRIMINAL & CIVIL. EVERY CASE I AM FIGHTING IS THE WORK OF THE DOJ & WHITE HOUSE. NO SUCH THING HAS EVER HAPPENED IN OUR COUNTRY BEFORE. BANANA REPUBLIC??? ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!"

The cases seeking Trump's removal from the ballot argue that he is ineligible under the 14th Amendment, which prohibits those who "have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against" the Constitution from serving "as an officer of the United States."
In response, Trump's legal team filed a 71-page brief to the DC Court of Appeals, asserting "absolute immunity" for the ex-president. The brief contends that a president cannot be criminally prosecuted for an act conducted in office unless they have been impeached and convicted by Congress.
Trump has consistently denied all criminal wrongdoing regarding the 91 criminal charges levied against him in four separate indictments, Radar Online reported.
