NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene called out Hunter Biden on X (formerly Twitter) the day before he was invited to testify in a public hearing before the House Oversight Committee over an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.

According to The Washington Post, Hunter refused to make an appearance earlier, with his attorney, Abbe Lowell, writing to the committee's chairman, Rep James Comer, stating that the public hearing “is not a serious oversight proceeding."

“It is your attempt to resuscitate your Conference’s moribund inquiry with a made-for-right-wing-media, circus act,” he noted, adding, "Your blatant planned-for-media event is not a proper proceeding but an obvious attempt to throw a Hail Mary pass after the game has ended."

Taking to the social media platform on Tuesday, March 19, Greene shared a clip from the congressional hearing in January, when Hunter Biden walked out of the room moments after the US Representative of Georgia was recognized by the chairman and began speaking.

"Excuse me, Hunter, apparently you're afraid of my words," Greene is seen saying in the video, before asking the chairman's permission to reclaim her time.

"I think it's clear and obvious for everyone watching this hearing today that Hunter Biden is terrified of strong, conservative Republican women because he can't even face my words as I was about to speak to him. What a coward," she notes.

In her post, Greene wrote, "Hunter Biden is afraid to face me at the Oversight Committee hearing tomorrow. And we all know why…", followed by three chicken emojis.

Internet reacts to Marjorie Taylor Greene's tweet

Netizens trolled MTG for getting ignored by Hunter Biden, as the following tweets demonstrate.

"Hunter Biden treated you with all the respect you deserve - NONE," wrote a user.

"Not one person on the planet is afraid to face you Ms Greene. When you chased down a school shooting survivor to shout conspiracy theories at him, he was never afraid. When you filed your fake impeachments, no one was afraid. You are desperate to be someone. That is why you became a Trump sycophant. You hope to ride his coattails to greatness but in the end you will follow him to ruin," stated another.

"No, he just thinks you're irrelevant," jibed a third.

"Hunter Biden isn’t scared of you! He’s done with you! Just like the rest of us. We’re all done with the garbage you spew!" exclaimed a fourth.

"Omg Hunter Biden is not afraid of you. He is repulsed by you," commented a fifth.
