MYRTLE BEACH, SOUTH CAROLINA: Zachery Ty Bryan has again shocked ‘Home Improvement’ fans with his recent arrest on New Year’s Day.
While the ‘Home Improvement’ alum was arrested for a second degree of domestic violence on New Year’s Day, it was his mugshot that disheartened fans who mourned his fall from grace.
Bryan, 43, who rose to fame as Tim Allen's onscreen son Brad Taylor in all eight seasons of the ABC sitcom from 1991 to 1999, had his latest brush with the law on the first day of 2025, after recording previous arrests in 2020, 2023 and 2024. However, his latest mugshot shocked the fans because of his noticeable transformation.

Zachery Ty Bryan was arrested by the Myrtle Beach police on New Year’s Day after the authorities determined that he had gotten into an alleged physical fight. TMZ reported that he was taken to the Horry County jail.
Horry County jail also released his shocking mugshot that marked the shocking transformation of the ‘True Heart’ actor.
Marking a prominent shift from the time when the actor walked the red carpets for his films and shows, that includes his promotion for ‘The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift’, Bryan’s mugshot showed him with bloody spots on his face.
As reported by Daily Mail, Bryan had a prominent mark on his left cheek, and a pinkish mark on his forehead. Moreover, he also had some marks on his lip and chin.
In his mugshot, Bryan was wearing an orange jumpsuit.
The outlet reported that the actor remains incarcerated after he was unable to make bail. Meanwhile, the identity of his alleged victim remains unknown, and the other details of the alleged altercation have not yet been released.
The fans over the internet too raised concerns over his looks as one of the readers commented online, "Watery eyes and jaundiced skin. He's running out of time to turn it around."

Zachery Ty Bryan’s past brushes with the law
Before his arrest on New Year’s Day, Bryan was arrested twice in 2024 for DUI.
On February 19, 2024, he was taken into custody by La Quinta, California, police for felony charges. He was released the same day after his felony charge was set at $50,000, with an additional $15,000 bail fee set for the misdemeanor, per People.
In October 2024, he was again arrested by Custer County, Oklahoma, police and booked for DUI Second Felony Offense, as reported by Fox 23.
The year prior, in 2023, he also served seven days in Lane County Jail in Eugene, Oregon for alleged domestic violence. He was sentenced to 36 months of supervised probation for domestic violence against an unidentified woman on July 28, per Daily Mail.
His first brush with the law took place in 2020 when he was sentenced to three years of bench probation and ordered to attend a batterer intervention program when he was charged with domestic violence against his fiancee Johnnie Faye Cartwright at the same sheriff's office in Oregon.
Bryan and Cartwright share three children -- daughter Kennedy and twins Parker and Sequoia -- together.
Prior to his relationship with Cartwright, Bryan was married to his high school sweetheart Carly Matros for 12 years. The former couple share four children together - twin daughters Gemma and Taylor; daughter Jordana; and son Pierce.
