LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Zayn Malik's sister, Waliyha Malik, shared an emotional post following the singer's announcement that he is postponing tour dates due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

The 'Better' singer, who recently lost his former bandmate, Liam Payne, had initially planned to begin his solo tour in October 2024, but several dates have now been rescheduled.

Waliyha Malik posts heartfelt message for Zayn Malik

Waliyha Malik took to social media to post a touching tribute, calling for kindness and understanding from fans as Zayn Malik navigates this difficult time.

Waliyha, 26, shared a poignant black-and-white photo of Zayn with Payne, depicting the latter resting his head on Zayn’s shoulder with his arm around him.

The image included a message that read, “Give respect to Zayn, you don’t know what he’s going through. Today is a month since his brother has been gone.”

The post appeared to reference the death of Payne, whose tragic fall in Buenos Aires shocked fans worldwide.

Zayn Malik postpones tour dates following Liam Payne's death

Zayn Malik, 31, initially planned to launch his solo tour in San Francisco on October 23.

However, following the death of his former bandmate, those dates were moved to January 2025.

The Edinburgh shows, which were supposed to take place on November 20 and 21, have now been rescheduled to December 8 and 9, respectively.



 

An official statement shared by his tour management read, “Due to unforeseen circumstances Zayn 'Stairway To The Sky' Edinburgh show originally scheduled for November 20 has been rescheduled for December 8.



 

A further date on November 21 at the same O2 Academy Edinburgh venue has been moved to December 9. All tickets for the original show dates will be honored on the rescheduled dates.”

This shift means that Zayn’s tour will now officially begin in Leeds on November 23, providing the artist additional time to grieve and prepare.

Fans hold vigil for Liam Payne in Buenos Aires

Meanwhile, in Buenos Aires, fans gathered at a chapel within the British Cemetery to mark one month since Liam Payne’s death.

Over 100 mourners, many carrying roses or mementos of the One Direction alum, attended the vigil to honor his memory.

Marisa, a 61-year-old fan from La Plata, shared through tears, “This is our way of showing Liam’s family that we care. His body was kept here for five days, so it’s important to have a priest deliver a blessing in this sanctuary,” reported Daily Mail.
