Adele confirms end of her Las Vegas residency as she bids bittersweet farewell to her 'best friend'
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: As Adele’s Las Vegas residency soon comes to a close, the Grammy-winning artist is reportedly feeling a mix of emotions about saying goodbye.
After nearly two years at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum, Adele shared her heartfelt sentiments with fans on Sunday, November 3, acknowledging that her final shows are fast approaching.
Adele gets emotional as her Las Vegas residency nears its end
"This really is the beginning of the end," Adele told her audience during the show. "There are no other f---ing shows. I’m not going to be like, ‘Surprise!’ This is the end."
“It’s [the 100th and final show] the weekend before Thanksgiving, isn’t it? And that’s the last one. I don’t have any plans to be on stage indefinitely, really," the Grammy winner said.
“My life, not my career, not my music. I’m talking about my actual life. And I really, truly think that this show has been my best fg friend throughout all of that," she added.
The British singer recently shared that she plans to take a break from performing after the end of her residency — a series of weekend shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace that began in November 2022. In September, she told the audience, "I have 10 shows to do, but after that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time, and I will hold you dear in my heart."
During her latest residency performance, Adele also shared her deep appreciation for the experience with the audience, according to The Sun.
"They say that if you want things and you are looking for things in life, you have to pay the universe and then it pays you back tenfold,” the singer continued. "I feel like that’s what’s happened with this show for me. My life is a thousand times better."
“My life, not my career, not my music. I’m talking about my actual life. And I really, truly think that this show has been my best friend throughout all of that," the 'Someone Like You' singer continued.
The 'Rolling in the Deep' singer admitted she was "genuinely sad" to see the residency coming to a close.
Adele and Celine Dion share a full-circle moment in Las Vegas
Adele’s Las Vegas residency reached a heartwarming milestone this past weekend when legendary singer Celine Dion made a surprise appearance at one of her shows.
The performance took place at The Colosseum, a venue famously built for Dion's first Las Vegas residency in 2003. For Adele, it was a powerful full-circle moment to perform in the space that helped shape Dion’s iconic career.
Adele reflected on the significance of the moment on X, sharing, "I’ve been performing in Celine Dion’s room for almost two years now, and it’s the only venue I ever wanted to play in Vegas. I’ve had a picture of her next to the stage that I touch before every show, and she came to my performance this weekend—it was such a moment!"
In a touching response on Instagram, Dion expressed her gratitude, writing, "Adele, we are so grateful to you for welcoming me and my family back to the Colosseum for your amazing show!"

She praised Adele’s performance and wrote, "Your performance was spectacular, your production was so beautiful. We loved seeing you and hearing you sing…it was such an emotional night for us all."
Dion also acknowledged Adele’s upcoming hiatus, offering her best wishes for the future, “I wish for all your dreams to come true, for you to be doing what you want to do, for taking a little break. You’re in a class by yourself and you deserve all the best! Thank you forever, Adele.”
