LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Alec Baldwin’s latest trailer for his TLC series ‘The Baldwins’ did not sit with many after it first came out in January.
However, as the show is gearing up for its premiere on February 23, an industry insider is slamming the 66-year-old actor for crying in front of the camera, claiming he was shedding tears to gain sympathy after the ‘Rust’ shooting accident.
Baldwin’s life and career suffered a blow following the accidental shooting death of ‘Rust’ cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in 2021.
Alec Baldwin accused of crying ‘crocodile tears’
Talking to RadarOnline, an insider slammed the ‘30 Rock’ actor’s stance of crying in front of the camera, saying, "His weeping on camera isn't fooling anybody.”
The ‘Saturday Night Live’ veteran was seen tearing up during a sit-down discussion with his wife Hilaria, 41, as he expressed gratitude to her and their children for standing by his side throughout the ordeal.
Showing gratitude to his wife and children, he said in the trailer, “Honestly from the bottom of my soul, I don’t know where I would be if I didn’t have you and these kids."
The source added, "Obviously, he's desperate to look like an innocent victim himself."

"Using the tragedy to promote his new reality show seems like a low blow,” continued to source, before castigating the actor while highlighting the repercussions of his act to his family.
"It's offensive and will probably backfire on him, his kids and his wife,” concluded the source.
Following a years-long court battle where the ‘Beetlejuice’ actor was tried for ‘involuntary manslaughter’, a New Mexico judge dismissed the charge with prejudice during a hearing in 2024.

Had he been convicted, he would have to spend up to 18 months in prison.
Following his acquittal, the actor came up with his family show, titled 'The Baldwins', where he would be showcasing his family life with his wife Hilaria, and their children - Carmen, 11, Rafael, nine, Leonardo, eight, Romeo, six, Eduardo and Marilu, four, and Ilaria, two.
Internet slams Alec Baldwin for reaping benefits of Halyna Hutchins’ death
The industry insider was, however, not the only one to find Alec Baldwin's act of tearing up in front of the camera repulsive, as several social media users took to the comment section of the YouTube trailer to voice their strong opinions against the scenes.
One of the social media users commented, "Ugh. Such a shameful thing to put on the air, considering the tragedy on the Rust set."
