CONNECTICUT: Alyssa Milano, renowned for her role in 'Charmed,' found herself in the spotlight once again, this time at '90s Con in Hartford, Connecticut, where she charged fans for selfies and autographs, sparking controversy.
The move came shortly after the actress faced criticism for setting up a GoFundMe page to cover expenses for her son's travel baseball team.

At the convention, Alyssa, 51, adopted a cash-only policy for fans seeking selfies and autographs at her meet-and-greet booth, according to sources. Those who hadn't pre-paid online were required to pay $80 for a selfie on their phone, $90 for a professional photo with a printed version and digital download, $80 for an autograph, or $140 for both a selfie and an autograph.
While Alyssa devoted the entire day on Saturday to meet-and-greet sessions, she opted out of participating in any panels. Although she made a brief appearance on Sunday, she didn't spend the entire day at her booth. Despite the long waiting time, fans appreciated her efforts, with one attendee mentioning that she greeted each fan warmly and even expressed willingness to extend her time to accommodate everyone.
"At any given time on Saturday, Alyssa had a very long line compared to the other stars," an attendee told The US Sun, adding that the crowd was "so insane" that you could barely see her.
"She was sweet and took the time to greet each fan, and even said that she would stay longer just to meet as many as she can."
However, the overwhelming demand led to lengthy queues, making it difficult for fans to catch a glimpse of the actress. Despite the challenges, Alyssa expressed gratitude to her supporters on Instagram, sharing a reel of fan photos and expressing her appreciation for their enduring support throughout her career.

"I’m so overwhelmed. You’ve filled my bucket this weekend. Every moment of uncertainty that I’ve experienced in my career—or heartache—or hardship—feels like it makes sense," she wrote.
"It’s all lead up to this moment. And I’m so appreciative that you still care. All these years later—you care. Thank you."
Alyssa Milano faces backlash over GoFundMe campaign
Alyssa Milano, known for her roles in various TV shows and movies, faced backlash after setting up a GoFundMe page to raise money for her son's baseball team trip to Cooperstown. The campaign, initiated under her married name Alyssa Bugliari in May 2023, gained traction when she promoted it further at the end of January 2024.
In her post on X, she appealed to fans, stating, "My son’s baseball team is raising money for their Cooperstown trip. Any amount would be so greatly appreciated." However, this plea didn't sit well with many, especially considering Alyssa's estimated net worth of $10 million.
The backlash ensued as fans questioned why a wealthy celebrity was seeking financial assistance for her son's activities. Despite the criticism, the campaign managed to exceed its $10,000 goal, raising a total of $15,443 to date.
In response to the criticism, Alyssa defended her actions, stating that she had already contributed significantly to the team's expenses. She highlighted her support by mentioning that she had paid for uniforms for the entire team and coaches, hosted birthday parties, and sponsored kids who couldn't afford monthly dues.
