HOUSTON, TEXAS: Amber Rose is clarifying her position following the uproar caused by her remarks on Beyonce's speech at Kamala Harris' recent Houston rally.

The model and television personality, seen in full costume at a Halloween event, clarified her comments, insisting that she was "literally joking" and not throwing shade.

Amber Rose claims she wasn't 'serious' about her Beyonce speech comment

The controversy erupted after Amber Rose commented on a clip from Beyonce's speech posted on Instagram by The Shade Room.

Beyonce announced her support for Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential race at a rally in Houston on October 25, Friday. Beyonce spoke about her role, not as a celebrity or politician, but as a mother who shares deep concerns for the future of her children and the next generation.

“I’m not here as a celebrity, I’m not here as a politician. I’m here as a mother,” Beyonce said.

In the comments section of this post, Rose stated, "She wanna be me so bad. Literally took my whole speech." This immediately sparked speculations about a rivalry between the two celebrities, whose political affiliations are a stark contrast to each other, and also riled up Queen Bey's fans.

In her subsequent statement, Rose clarified that her remark was meant to be a lighthearted tease among friends rather than a serious accusation.

According to a video shared by TMZ, a reporter inquired during the Halloween event whether Beyonce had indeed plagiarized her speech. Clearing the air, Rose said, "I was literally trolling. I troll with my friends all the time."

She went on to say, "I did not think that would be international news. I love Beyonce. I know Beyonce. We've hung out a few times.... but I was low-key trolling."

Rose added, "It's crazy like one comment can become international news. I was literally joking."

The reported further inquired, "Okay so you weren't serious?" To this Rose replied, "I was not. A delusional person would be serious."

Internet trolls Amber Rose after she claims she wasn't serious about Beyonce comment

As soon as Beyonce's fans read about Amber Rose's clarification on Facebook, they started trolling Rose.

A user wrote accusing Rose of seeking attention, "Oh please Amber Rose is so washed up, and she is looking for anything to get back into the spotlight. Beyonce doesn't need to steal anything to get her message across to people. Amber just loves to play that victim card, to use as an excuse as to why her speech was lame."

Another added, "Amber Rose bye find something else to do."

The third commentator wrote, "She has absolutely nothing Beyonce would want."

"She does these things for the attention smh Beyonce don’t be bothering nobody…" a Beyonce supporter claimed.

A person said, "She’s not going to get any attention from B like she’s trying so hard to do."

Another chimed in, "Yes Amber. We get that you're a joke!!"
