LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ana de Armas is thrilled to be working with Tom Cruise on their first project together.
The actress sees the upcoming film, Doug Liman’s supernatural ocean thriller 'Deeper', which begins filming in August, as a major career moment.

The pair “have a special work relationship,” a source told People, adding that de Armas has “prepped” all summer for the film.
“Tom is crazy hardworking and she's very excited to work with him. She calls it an opportunity of a lifetime,” the insider said about 'Deeper'.
According to the source, the 37-year-old actress is currently focused on work and not romance. “Tom is an incredible mentor to Ana,” the insider added. “She has nothing but amazing things to say about him.”

This comes amid swirling rumors that Ana de Armas and Tom Cruise are in a relationship after being spotted traveling together on various occasions.
The rumors gained traction after Cruise praised Armas for her acting skills.
When speaking to Variety at the June premiere of 'Ballerina', de Armas reflected on Cruise’s support for her movie. She called his backing “unbelievable” and “amazing” when asked about the 'Top Gun' actor cheering her on.
“But you know what, he supports every movie. He really wants the industry and cinema to go well and people going to the theaters,” de Armas said.
“We're working together, so he got to see Ballerina and he actually really liked it. He loved the John Wicks. It is very special that someone like him is supporting [Ballerina],” the 'Knives Out' actress added. “It is really special in general to have other actors and people supporting each other. We can do well all together.”

Tom Cruise also shared his admiration for Ana de Armas at the New York premiere of 'Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning'.
“[Ana is a] very, very talented, great dramatic actress, comedic, tremendous ability, learns quickly,” he told Extra.
He continued with Access Hollywood, saying, “Her ability is incredible. There's an actress that has dramatic chops, someone who's comedic, very, very talented.”
“You see her in Ballerina and you look at Keanu (Reeves) and her together ... just a great actress,” Cruise added.
Ana de Armas opens up about family plans, calls love ‘unpredictable’
In an interview with Italian magazine F, the actress revealed she hopes to start a family soon.
“Yes, I would like to have children and a family, soon if possible,” she said, adding, “But it doesn’t just depend on me. As we know, love is unpredictable, you never know when true love will come. Relationships can’t be controlled: life is not a movie.”
She was in a relationship with Ben Affleck, 52, from 2020 to 2021. They reportedly split due to different family goals.
