Aubrey O’Day, 50 Cent, Rosie O’Donnell, and more celebs react to Diddy's split verdict: ‘I’m gonna vomit’

MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Shockwaves rippled through the entertainment world as Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was acquitted of a slew of serious charges that could have put him behind bars for life.
After two marathon months and a mountain of evidence, a 12-person jury found the music mogul not guilty of racketeering conspiracy and two counts of trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion on Wednesday, July 2.

However, it wasn’t a clean walk, as the jury, after three days of deliberation, found Diddy guilty of two lesser counts related to his former girlfriends, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura and a woman who testified under the pseudonym “Jane” in court, according to NewsNation.
Each offense carries a sentence of up to ten years in prison, and federal prosecutors have already announced they will seek the maximum 20-year term.
Struck by the shocking split verdict, a number of celebrities took to social media to voice their thoughts.

50 Cent
The 'Power' star, who has been criticizing Diddy throughout his federal trial, reacted to the verdict by sharing an AI-generated image of himself with a blunt caption, reading “Diddy beat the Rico, that boy a bad man! 👏👏👏, he likes the Gay John Gott.”

While 50 didn’t mention Diddy by name in his post, fans quickly deduced it was about the music mogul, given his history of attacks against the rapper.
Kesha
Following the verdict, the ‘Die Young’ hitmaker voiced her support for Cassie Ventura, who testified as a witness to the mogul’s alleged years of abuse, coercion, and threats.

I love you.
Your strength is a beacon for every survivor.
“Cassie, I believe you. I love you. Your strength is a beacon for every survivor,” Kesha wrote on X.
Rosie O’Donnell
In an angry Instagram post, Rosie O’Donnell slammed the jury over their verdict in Diddy’s federal trial, writing, “I guess a jury just never wants to believe that a woman stays because of power and coercion – wow – they just think women stay because what?”
“Money – fame – ‘they love the abuse’ – what a f****g joke – this decision got me angry #cassie,” she added.

Aubrey O’Day
Diddy’s former colleague, Aubrey O’Day, who turned against him after her removal from his Bad Boy Records group, Danity Kane, back in 2008, also voiced her anger over the verdict, saying it made her “physically ill.”

“Oh my God, not guilty on Cassie, not guilty on RICO, no way that Jane is gonna be guilty,” O’Day said in an Instagram story, adding, “This makes me physically ill, Cassie probably feels so horrible. Ugh, I’m gonna vomit.”
“The cultural weight of this decision is immeasurable. It is heartbreaking to witness how many lives have been impacted by their experiences with Sean Combs — only for those stories to fall short in the eyes of a jury. I can only hope these jurors never have to watch someone they love endure what so many survivors have described,” she continued.
Piers Morgan
Piers Morgan also typed: "Wow" as he reshared the verdict on X. In a previous post, he also wrote, “Diddy’s going down. Just a question now of how many convictions he gets, and how long a sentence.”

Just a question now of how many convictions he gets, and how long a sentence…
Cassie Ventura
After testifying as a witness in the trial, Cassie also voiced her disappointment over the split verdict.
"This entire criminal process started when our client, Cassie Ventura, had the courage to file her civil complaint in November 2023,” her lawyer said in a statement, according to The Mirror.

"Although the jury did not find Combs guilty of sex trafficking Cassie beyond a reasonable doubt, she paved the way for a jury to find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution. By coming forward with her experience, Cassie has left an indelible mark on both the entertainment industry and the fight for justice.”
"We must repeat — with no reservation — that we believe and support our client, who showed exemplary courage throughout this trial,” the statement continued.
