While Affleck has kept mum about the split, there are already rumors about his next potential romance. And according to insiders, he might have his sights set on none other than Jessica Alba.
Ben Affleck has allegedly been crushing on Jessica Alba for years
Ben Affleck isn’t exactly the type to spill the tea on his personal life. Even during his rollercoaster relationship with Jennifer Lopez, he kept things as private as possible. But a source told Radar Online that Affleck has quietly harbored feelings for Jessica Alba for nearly two decades.
“It’s been a well-kept secret that Ben Affleck had quite the crush on Jessica Alba years ago,” the insider dished.
“In Jessica Alba’s circle, it’s no secret that Ben has had a longstanding interest in her for about two decades. However, they’ve never crossed paths at a time when both were single and open to dating … until now,” they added.
And now, the timing might finally be right. Jessica Alba officially announced her divorce from Cash Warren last month after nearly two decades of marriage.
“I’ve been on a journey of self-realization and transformation for years — both as an individual and in partnership with Cash," she wrote on Instagram. "I’m proud of how we’ve grown as a couple and in our marriage over the last 20 years, and it’s now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals,” the actress added.
With both Affleck and Alba newly single, insiders say the chemistry that has always been there might finally have room to flourish. They "have a strong connection, and whenever they’ve spent time together in the past, the chemistry between them is undeniable,” the source claimed, adding that this might be “the perfect moment” for their “relationship to flourish.”
Jessica Alba and Cash Warren never planned to divorce
For years, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren were seen as one of Hollywood’s most solid couples. Married since 2008, they have three children together—Honor, Haven, and Hayes. So fans were obviously shocked when news broke that their relationship had come to an end.
An insider told Life & Style that the couple once considered divorce off the table.
“Jessica and Cash have had their ups and downs over the years, but they always said that divorce was never an option,” the insider revealed. “Well, that’s all changed. After a lot of heartfelt and tearful conversations and marriage counseling, they’ve decided to split up.”

“We’re on 17 years. He basically stole my 20s and my 30s,” Alba admitted. “So, we have the friendship and the comfort of, like, ‘You’re not going anywhere,’ and so, sometimes, you don’t treat those people the best. You don’t consider their feelings in the way that you would consider other people’s feelings.”
