In 2020, Affleck showcased a similar transformation that caused a frenzy among fans. Celebrity colorist Michael Canalé commented on that occasion, stating, “It ages him a little bit, it’s a little too dark along with the beard and it looks unnatural."

“A professional colorist wouldn’t have made it so matte,” implying that Affleck’s previous dye job was probably done at home. His latest style change occurs amid his ongoing divorce from Jennifer Lopez.

The 55-year-old singer filed for divorce from Affleck on August 20, marking the second anniversary of their extravagant Georgia wedding, after months of speculation regarding their relationship status.
