LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bill Maher, host of HBO’s 'Real Time', issued a stark warning to the Democratic Party concerning their stance on immigration. Reflecting on recent European election outcomes, Maher predicted a similar fate for US Democrats in the upcoming elections if they fail to address immigration concerns.

Maher’s commentary comes in the wake of European Union Parliament elections where voters in Germany and France overwhelmingly rejected far-left immigration policies, as reported by New York Post.

"Voters again for the European Parliament said we do not like this much immigration," Maher emphasized.

Citing David Frum from The Atlantic, Maher echoed the sentiment that if liberals refuse to enforce borders, voters will turn to more extreme options: "If liberals insist that enforcing borders is a job only fascists will do, then voters will hire fascists to do what liberals won’t."

Maher pointed to recent statements by Democratic California Senator Alex Padilla, who criticized President Joe Biden’s border policies as a revival of Donald Trump’s asylum ban, undermining American values.

Maher argued that Democrats’ fear of being labeled as racist is preventing them from taking necessary actions on immigration, which will lead to their downfall in elections: "It’s going to get them f–ked on Election Day. It’s happening. It’s happening in Europe right now. That proves it in Europe, and it’s going to happen here in America. It happened with Brexit. It’s going to happen again."

During the show, writer Joel Stein contested Maher’s views, advocating for the moral imperative of allowing migrants into the US. "At any number?" Maher challenged, to which Stein conceded, "No, no." Maher argued that Democrats’ reluctance to set limits is a significant part of their problem.

Maher cited a poll indicating substantial support among Latinos and registered voters for stricter immigration controls, including shutting down the border and deporting illegal immigrants. "Yeah, people hate immigrants," Stein commented, to which Maher retorted, "They don’t hate immigrants!"

Reflecting on Biden’s recent executive order on the border, Maher dismissed it as a desperate pre-election strategy destined to fail. "If Biden loses this election, it’s going to be because of two things: He’s old… and immigration," Maher stated.

He criticized the administration’s handling of the issue, suggesting that their lack of a clear stance on immigration numbers is politically damaging: "The question that Democrats don’t seem to be able to have the balls to answer is just how many is too many? And like, infinity is the answer—if you don’t give that answer, you’re a racist."

Bill Maher's remarks about Democratic Party's immigration stance resonate online

Maher’s remarks resonated with many on social media, who echoed his concerns about the Democrats’ immigration policies. One user commented, "Illegal immigration is obviously bad and out of control. The Democrat party could stop it, just like Trump did, if they wanted to." Another noted, "Many people hate illegal immigrants who can't wait their turn to come in legally."

A third user highlighted the broader implications of immigration, stating, "Maher is right. The handwriting is on the wall. Many people don't realize it, but people are illegally crossing the borders all over Europe, not just in the US. In a world as dangerous as the one we're in right now, allowing this to happen is total insanity."

"The Dems have boxed themselves in with an ideology that is completely off track. Immigration is fine if people are checked for criminal history etc. The last few years nobody knows jack about what is going on and now we've loaded failing large cities with tons of illegals," one user observed.

Another added, "Dems have overstepped. The open borders policy of the radical left has failed." "The number of illegals that's ok for dems is as many that can break the economic system," one user asserted.

Another commented, "Sometimes common sense about immigration overrides political affiliation, something the left has a difficult time realizing." Summarizing the general mood, one user wrote, "The only reason Democrats might lose this election is because of their disastrous immigration policies that have created havoc for this country."
