Blake Lively claims Justin Baldoni’s unsafe ‘It Ends With Us’ set led to her and her infant getting Covid
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Blake Lively has made many shocking allegations against her co-star and ‘It Ends With Us’ director Justin Baldoni in a recently filed sexual harassment lawsuit.
One such accusation against the 40-year-old star is that he “failed to implement” adequate Covid precautions during an outbreak, which resulted in Lively and her youngest son Olin contracting the disease, as per Us Weekly.
The actress shares daughters James, 9, Inez, 8, and Betty, 5, along with the son, Olin, with her husband Ryan Reynolds.
Justin Baldoni ‘deliberately withheld’ Covid info from Blake Lively
The legal documents filed on December 20 reportedly mentioned, “Ms. Lively was told by another producer that because [Justin and Jamey’s production company] Wayfarer did not have insurance coverage for Covid, Mr. Baldoni and Mr. Heath deliberately withheld from Ms. Lively that she had been exposed to Covid.”
“Ms. Lively expressed her upset that Mr. Heath and Mr. Baldoni had hidden the fact that she had been exposed to a Covid outbreak on set from which she and her infant contracted Covid,” the papers continued.
But the docs also asserted that “instead of acknowledging responsibility and committing to safety moving forward, they expressed upset over production days missed and resulting costs.”
However, when the shooting of the 2024 film began after the SAG and WGA strike ended, the ‘Gossip Girl’ star came up with her own demands.
One such request was, “If BL is exposed to Covid-19, she must be provided notice as soon as possible after Wayfarer or any producer or production executive becomes aware of such exposure.”
Blake Lively accused Justin Baldoni of not giving breaks to feed her son
Blake Lively’s suit against Justin Baldoni came after months of negative publicity embroiled the former one.
In her complaint, the 37-year-old actress has also accused Baldoni of creating a toxic work culture on the set, joining in activities to ruin her image, and causing her “severe emotional distress”.
The legal papers even added, “Ms. Lively often had to work while breastfeeding, which she felt comfortable doing so long as she was given the time and space to cover herself. She did this frequently, because she was not given breaks to feed her baby.”
Justin Baldoni’s lawyer calls Blake Lively’s claims ‘false’
But the lawyer of the ‘Jane the Virgin’ actor has dismissed the claims as “outrageous”.
Bryan Freedman said, “It is shameful that Ms Lively and her representatives would make such serious and categorically false accusations against Mr Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios and its representatives.”
“These claims are completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious with an intent to publicly hurt and rehash a narrative in the media,” the attorney noted.
