LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Blake Lively is grappling with the fallout after the release of her film 'It Ends With Us'. The movie, based on Colleen Hoover's bestseller, features Lively as Lily Bloom, who becomes entangled in a troubled relationship with Ryle Kincaid, played by Justin Baldoni.

The film, which was meant to shine a light on important issues, however, quickly became the center of controversy. Rumors of a feud between Lively and Baldoni emerged when the duo avoided joint promotional appearances and had minimal interaction at the red-carpet premiere.

Additionally, the actress faced criticism for the film's promotional strategy, and her remarks in interviews put her in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.

According to a source, Blake Lively was "pretty surprised at the backlash and drama" surrounding the romantic drama's debut last month.

"She initially felt very vulnerable and upset," the source revealed.

"During the promotion of the movie, not one day went by when she was not in the news in an unfavorable light. She's just not used to this kind of drama."

The situation reportedly felt "out of control" to Lively. Despite this, the 37-year-old actress, who will next appear in 'A Simple Favor 2', with Anna Kendrick, remains passionate about her work and is determined to continue pursuing projects she believes in.

Lively, who also served as a producer for the 'It Ends With Us' adaptation, which has become her highest-grossing film to date, faced heightened scrutiny after reports of tension with the film's director and male lead, Justin Baldoni.

The media frenzy intensified when Lively and Baldoni did not pose for photos together at the premiere and did not participate in joint press appearances. Additionally, some critics argued that the film's marketing campaign was misleading, given its themes of domestic violence and trauma, and old and recent interview clips of Lively went viral with critical responses.

Despite the backlash, Lively has expressed her commitment to the film's message, hoping it highlights important issues and empowers women, as perr People.

She wrote on her Instagram stories, "It Ends With Us is a story of the female experience. Al the highest highs, and lowest lows. And we are so proud of it."

She thanked fans for embracing the film with the same love and emotion she and her team put into it, "We have been in celebration of this film and of getting a message so important out there to the masses. Thank you all for embracing It Ends With Us with the same love, pain and joy we had sharing it with you all."

After news broke that Blake Lively was distressed by the movie's backlash, numerous online users shared their thoughts. Some offered support, advising her to disregard the critics and not let the negativity affect her.

One user advised, "If you are going to be interviewed on camera, be polite. Being important is nice. But being nice is important. The video of her being nasty to the interviewer, and having a side conversation, leaving the interviewer out was creepy, uncomfortable to watch and mean."

The second added, "Blake now knows how the rest of us mere mortals live. Everything is out of our control and not everyone is your ally or here to make your life comfortable, or make you feel popular. She should not have made it all about her, Ryan and peddling their products."

The third user suggested, "Hope she doesn’t dismiss her entitled and mean behavior as anything else, but simply BE BETTER."

The fourth shared a positive comment, "Loved this movie! I liked it was not sooooo violent but made the point of domestic violence! All the actors were great and I can’t wait to go again!!!!"

One individual wrote, "Not a hit movie. Very disappointed, SO much was left out of the movie."

One social media user added, "I personally love this actress from day one. And always will. I have not seen the movie but plan to. I have read the book and many by this writer and can’t be more proud that Blake was chosen for this role."

One more person added, "The negative attention she created for herself." The last user added, "Love her. Don’t listen to the leftist, angry schills. They’re clowns. Don’t give in to these losers."
