NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Blake Lively’s past has come back to haunt her as a resurfaced video of the actress throwing a playful temper tantrum at a 2016 red carpet event has gone viral.

The video has reportedly reignited discussions about celebrity influence, media control, and her ongoing legal battle with 'It Ends With Us' co-star Justin Baldoni, the Daily Mail reported.

Blake Lively's clip from 2016 amfAR Gala resurfaces

In the clip, the 'Gossip Girl' alum is seen addressing a group of photographers, exclaiming: “I want all your names... I’m gonna kill you!”

The dramatic outburst stemmed from an embarrassing moment—Lively had mistakenly stepped onto the red carpet with a styling clip still on her hair.

A flurry of photographers snapped away. But while an article documenting the mishap remains online, photos of Lively with the clip on her hair have been removed from the internet and the original video was also allegedly taken down.

The TikTok creator noted: “This shows how much power they were used to having over the press because they were like the it couple for such a long time... Blake actually got them to delete most of the photos... most people do not have the power to get them deleted.”

As per Daily Mail, fans weighed in on Blake Lively's sway and influence after the 2016 video resurfaced.

One remarked, “I did PR, getting those removed is nearly impossible—you have to really threaten them and call reporters' bosses to get this to happen.”

Another questioned the extent of Lively’s media sway, writing: “Where does the power come from? Gossip Girl was years ago, and Ryan’s movies don’t add up to much.”

"A really big head, but obviously empty," one comment read.

"The original KAREN," said another, while one noted, "Narcissistic Behavior."

Others, however, defended her reaction: “It looked cute from this distance. I thought it was part of the outfit. Go Blake.”

Another wrote, "She was joking. If you can't get that's a joke then you need your head examining. I'd love to know why folk can't take a joke these days. Forgot they're all precious snowflakes."

Legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni

This resurfaced moment coincides with a bitter legal war between Blake Lively, 37, and Justin Baldoni, 41, who directed and starred in 'It Ends With Us'.

In December 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit accusing Baldoni of harassment, which he has denied.

Baldoni, in turn, hit back with a $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds, and her longtime publicist Leslie Sloane. All parties have denied the allegations against them.

Baldoni’s latest filing, reviewed by Fox News Digital, took aim at what he called Lively’s "hypocrisy"—specifically her attempts to control public perception.

He pointed out that while Lively had been vocal in the media about her allegations, she was now requesting "heightened protections" in court to shield evidence from the public.

His legal team noted they were “surprised” by her request, stating that she had actively publicized and litigated her claims in the press.

Additionally, the lawsuit has attracted public attention, with conspiracy theories emerging and other celebrities, such as Anna Kendrick, being inadvertently drawn into the narrative.

Despite these distractions, the core legal proceedings between Lively and Baldoni continue, with the trial scheduled for March 2026, as per Page Six.
