Border Patrol contrasts last Christmas with this year, citing improved security under Trump

The Border Patrol shared a video reel on Instagram highlighting the dramatic difference between conditions at the border last year and this Christmas. The footage shows how, one year ago, the border was crowded with migrants, with clothing and belongings scattered across rivers and surrounding areas.

The video emphasizes the stark contrast between that situation and the current state of the border, which appears clean, organized, and secure under Trump. The video features an aerial view of the border and is set to the song “Giannexmusic Follow Rivers x Last Christmas,” adding a festive backdrop to the message.

Along with the reel, the Border Patrol included a note stating, “Just one year ago, our border faced unprecedented chaos. Today, thanks in part to the relentless dedication of Border Patrol Agents, we have achieved historic border security milestones and record-low illegal crossings. During this holiday season, rest assured that our agents remain focused on protecting the homeland. The border is closed.”

The post comes as part of a broader effort by the Trump administration to highlight achievements in border security. It underscores the agency’s work in managing illegal crossings and maintaining safety along the southern border, contrasting it with the challenges faced in previous years.

Trump echoes border message, highlights 'border closed' in Truth Social post

Donald Trump has been vocal about immigration and border security, working closely with ICE and the Border Patrol. Recently, he shared a Christmas greeting on Truth Social, addressing citizens while taking a jab at the “Radical Left.” In the message, he highlighted what he described as the successes achieved under his administration within a year.

He wrote, “Merry Christmas to all, including the Radical Left Scum that is doing everything possible to destroy our Country, but are failing badly.” He added, “We no longer have Open Borders, Men in Women's Sports, Transgender for Everyone, or Weak Law Enforcement.”

Trump also pointed to the country’s economic performance, stating, “What we do have is a Record Stock Market and 401K’s, Lowest Crime numbers in decades, No Inflation, and yesterday, a 4.3 GDP, two points better than expected.”
