This method of crafting political image traces back to the performative femininity seen in figures like Sarah Palin. Palin projected strength but also embraced traditional gender roles, which softened her image of empowerment.

Although Governor Noem often portrays herself as a grassroots cowgirl, she has also spoken the language of Donald on various occasions, indicating her full support for his vision.
