Brigitte Macron alters her outfits, mannerisms after trans claims leave her anxious about appearance
PARIS, FRANCE: Brigitte Macron, the first lady of France, has been the target of constant online rumors about her gender and sexuality, which have reportedly affected her mental health.
Her daughter, Tiphaine Auziere, said the ongoing harassment has left her mother mentally “deteriorated” and struggling with “deep anxiety.”
The heavy online bullying has made Macron feel pressured to monitor how she dresses and moves in public. The “malicious comments” claim that Macron was born male under the name “Jean-Michel Trogneux” and later became female.
Brigitte Macron’s daughter breaks silence on gender rumors
Brigitte Macron has long been the target of cruel online rumors questioning her alleged gender transformation. Tiphaine Auziere, 41, expressed her frustration, irritation, and pain while speaking publicly about the “harassment” that has taken a toll on her 72-year-old mother.
The revelation came during a trial on Tuesday, October 28, where ten people appeared in court for allegedly spreading false and malicious claims about Macron’s gender alteration. “There isn’t a single week when she isn’t harassed, not one person in her personal or professional life fails to bring up these allegations,” said Macron's daughter.
“She knows that her image could be taken and distorted,” Auziere explained during the hearing, as reported by Ouest-France. She didn’t stop there.
Auziere added, “She cannot ignore the horrors being said,” noting that her mother is “constantly under attack." Speaking before the court, she said it was vital for her to testify “to express the prejudice” and to “report what her life has been like since she suffered this hatred.” She added, “She reads the tweets that are shown to her, but she no longer wants to.”
Auziere revealed that her mother is devastated that “her grandchildren hear what is being said,” and “doesn’t know how to make it stop.” Speaking about Auziere, she is the youngest of Macron’s three children from her first marriage to Andre-Louis Auziere.
Brigitte Macron takes legal action over gender identity rumors
The rumor spread quickly across social media and is now at the center of a legal case. According to The Blast, Macron’s lawyer filed a complaint in August 2024, citing cyberbullying and ongoing online harassment.
The trial involves ten defendants, eight men and two women, aged between 41 and 60. Among them are a teacher, a business owner, and a local official, CNN World reported. If convicted, the defendants could face up to two years in prison.
