Britney Spears claims Valentine’s Day outing with ex-felon Paul Soliz was a ‘set up’ to make her look bad

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears took to Instagram on February 17, Monday, to share her thoughts on how her Valentine’s Day outing with boyfriend Paul Soliz was a "set up".
The two were spotted together, sparking fresh controversy over their relationship, but Spears believes there was more at play than just paparazzi doing their usual rounds.

Britney Spears’ Valentine’s Day outing with Paul Soliz
Paul Soliz's children accompanied him and Britney Spears so the couple opted for a laid-back dinner outing in Los Angeles, picking up fast food from Jack-in-the-Box before making a quick stop where Soliz picked up flowers for Spears, as per Page Six.
In her Instagram post, Spears initially described her Valentine's Day as an enjoyable one, "Happy late V Day – I must say, it was such a fun day for me … Especially picking the children up and waiting for my friend patiently for 10 minutes to buy his sweet mum mum flowers."
But by writing “my friend” instead of boyfriend, it seems the 'Toxic' singer wants to keep things vague when it comes to her relationship with ex-con Soliz, as per Perez Hilton.
However, the real drama kicked in when she started talking about an unexpected bystander.
Spears went on to share what she found to be an unsettling detail from her day, "There was a boy across the street with his dog just standing there the whole time !!! I was like, what is this boy waiting on ??? Why doesn’t he go ??? Am I in a sloth movie ??? WTF !!! Well I figured it out – it was a set up to take my pic leaning forward with a double chin."
Reportedly, Spears believes the random boy wasn’t just standing around, he was part of some orchestrated attempt to capture her in an unflattering position.
The couple seemed to be in good spirits during their Valentine's Day outing, sharing laughs as they drove around the city.
Their latest outing comes just a week after they were spotted spending time with Soliz’s children at an indoor playground in San Fernando Valley, California.
Was Britney Spears' post a subtle dig at mom Lynne Spears?
Things got even more personal when Britney Spears seemed to shade her mother, Lynne Spears.
She wrote, "Are you with someone who made you feel beautiful for V day or with someone who absolutely demoralized you ??? Or get HUGE pay ??? I bet my mom even likes it !!! People love the negative … It’s the most viewed pic on internet … And we are supposed to live in a kind world ???"

The post concluded, "I’m like the children I just don’t know !!! 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤔 See me TODAY with my lawyer and the best cookies ever !!!"
Spears' relationship with her mother has been strained since she was subjected to a 13-year conservatorship in 2008, which was mostly managed by her father, Jamie Spears. But in the past couple of years, the 'Oops!…I Did It Again' singer has reportedly shown willingness to mend her relationship with her mother.
But just when fans thought Spears and her mother were on the road to reconciliation, the singer shared this post.
Spears seems convinced that Lynne enjoys seeing her struggle, or at the very least, isn’t rooting for her happiness.
