NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, found herself at the center of online criticism just minutes after the Chiefs’ defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.

The loss, which ended the Chiefs' chance to make history with a third consecutive win, triggered a wave of hateful comments on Brittany's Instagram account.

Before the game’s conclusion, Brittany Mahomes posted a carousel of photos on her Instagram. In one of the pictures, she was seen posing on the sidelines in a stylish all-white look, complete with a $73K double-strand diamond tennis necklace.

Her pants were adorned with the word "Chiefs" painted in the team's signature red and gold colors. Brittany also shared pictures of their young children, Sterling Skye and Patrick "Bronze" Lamon III, in the post.

The post was accompanied by a simple caption: “LIX.”

Brittany’s post came just weeks after she gave birth to the couple’s third child, a daughter named Golden Raye Mahomes, born on January 12, 2025. The couple also has two older children, daughter Sterling Skye, born in February 2021, and son Patrick "Bronze" Lamon III, born in November 2022.

After Brittany Mahomes' Instagram post went viral, Instagram users quickly flooded the comments with harsh criticism following the Chiefs' 40-22 loss. Many expressed frustration, directing their comments at her amid the team's defeat.

A user said, "This is what you are posting when the team is down 24-0 at halftime?"

Another claimed, "So self absorbed."

One commentator added, "Let this woman show off her fit without commenting about her husband or the game for the love!!!!"

"It’s all about her and her outfits 🙄" remarked a critic.

A person remarked, "Her outfit is awesome and she looks great…love her. My point is the timing wasn’t right when the Chiefs were laying and egg and maybe needed supportive words or something instead"

Other chimed in, "Mahomes is sleeping on the couch today."
