LONDON, UK: Prince Harry is scheduled to visit his home country to attend the WellChild Awards on Monday, September 30, but it’s still unclear whether his father King Charles will meet with him.

As per sources, Queen Camilla is protective of her husband as he undergoes cancer treatment and doesn’t want the British monarch to focus on his estrangement with his younger son.

The 77-year-old queen consort is allegedly urging the monarch to “slow down and take things easy” with the Duke of Sussex.

Queen Camilla doesn't want King Charles to get stressed over meeting Prince Harry

Speaking of the dynamics in the royal family, the insider spilled to The Daily Beast, as reported by RadarOnline, "She has been the principal voice urging Charles to slow down and take things easy.”

"The last thing she wants him to do is to get stressed out over a meeting with Harry,” shared the source.

The King, who was previously speculated to be getting counseling from religious leaders to reconcile with his younger son amid his ongoing cancer treatment, is also said to have an instinctive desire toward reconciliation.

"The king has an instinctive impulse toward Christian reconciliation, and his cancer diagnosis has only sharpened that," revealed the source.

Earlier this year, King Charles was diagnosed with cancer and has been undergoing preventive therapy ever since.

However, amid the strained relationship between his two sons - Prince William and Harry, the 75-year-old monarch wants the feud to settle down, once and for all.

The source explained, "He wants this settled, not just because he loves both his sons, but because it has been so destabilizing for the monarchy."

The last time the King met his 40-year-old son was in February when Harry flew to London after learning about his father’s illness.

The father-son duo, however, missed meeting each other in May when Harry visited England for the tenth-anniversary celebration of his ‘Invictus Games’.

King Charles and Prince Harry's feud runs deeper

Previously, royal expert Tom Quinn shared that Prince Harry reportedly hoped that there would be reconciliations and that his father would eventually forgive him following his criticism of the royal family in his book ‘Spare’.

"Despite all his criticisms Harry always assumed he would be forgiven by his father. He thought Charles would make amends for the hurt that- in Harry’s view – justified the criticisms," shared Quinn with an outlet, per OK! Magazine.

He explained previously in early August, "Despite Harry’s attacks on the royal family, his father has avoided responding by attacking his son publicly, but privately, King Charles is furious. So much so that he is now refusing to take calls from his son.”

Another royal commentator Christopher Andersen believed that the estrangement between Charles and Harry was created partly due to the fact that the Montecito Duke made an array of harsh remarks about his stepmother, Queen Camilla.

Referring to the reports of the father-son duo not being on speaking terms, Andersen said, "When Harry branded his stepmother Camilla a 'villain' in his book and revealed that both he and William initially begged their father not to marry her, Harry committed what Charles regards as a cardinal sin.”

"No one disses Camilla in royal circles and gets away with it – not even a son of the king," Andersen warned.
