Candace Owens blames 'true villain' Ryan Reynolds for starting Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni feud

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Far-right commentator Candace Owens shared a wild conspiracy theory accusing Ryan Reynolds of being responsible for the messy legal feud between his wife Blake Lively, and her 'It Ends With Us' co-star and director Justin Baldoni, OK! Magazine reported on Friday, January 24.

Lively and Baldoni have been locked in a battle since last year, with the former suing for harassment and retaliation, and the latter countering with defamation.

According to the publication, Owens' claim comes after Baldoni's lawyer accused Reynolds of mocking his client in a deleted scene from his last box office release 'Deadpool & Wolverine'. 

Candace Owens blames Ryan Reynolds for Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni legal drama

Taking to Instagram on Friday, Candice Owens uploaded a Story stating that she received a tip about the Blake  Lively-Justin Baldoni legal drama from a person who claimed to have worked on their film 'It Ends With Us'.

"Lately everyone is bashing Blake Lively, but apparently the true villain in this saga is … Ryan Reynolds," Owens wrote. The source reportedly told Owens that "everything started" when Reynolds "decided to stroll onto the movie set one day and review the dailies." 

The 48-year-old actor allegedly saw something that "set him off," as per Owens.

"This person claims (and I cannot verify) that the production assistants then overhead Ryan and Blake having an argument in her trailer," Owens noted, before speculating what might have happened at the time.

"My opinion. Ryan Reynolds is grossly insecure. This, in part, motivated by the fact that he dates and married women who are almost a decade younger than him," she said.

"I think Ryan Reynolds is unhinged," she added in a later social media update. "I think Blake was fine with everything in the movie she signed on for (hence not requesting an intimacy coordinator) and then all that changed the day her husband showed up to set and allegedly blew a fuse."

The deleted Justin Baldoni joke on 'Deadpool & Wolverine'

Justin Baldoni's lawyer recently claimed that there was "no question" that the character "Nicepool" in the Marvel superhero film was based on the actor-director.

His assertion was based on the fact that Nicepool had long hair tied up in a man bun, a style that has been sported by Baldoni for years. Some social media users also apparently linked the character's comments on feminism and podcasting to Baldoni.

"If your wife is sexually harassed, you don’t make fun of Justin Baldoni. You don’t make fun of the situation. You take it very seriously," stated the lawyer. "You file HR complaints, you raise the issue and you follow a legal process. What you don’t do is mock the person and turn it into a joke. Again, if somebody is seriously sexually harassed, you don’t make fun of it. It’s a serious issue."

Netizens were shocked at the allegations made by Candace Owens on social media.
