Candace Owens slams Blake Lively as 'pervert' after resurfaced clip from 'A Simple Favor' sparks backlash

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Candace Owens has once again gone after Blake Lively as she asked her to drop her legal suit against Justin Baldoni after a scene of the actress from ‘A Simple Favor’ resurfaced.
The conservative commentator said, as per OK! Magazine, “Blake Lively must drop this lawsuit as soon as humanly possible. There is now too much evidence that she and Ryan [Reynolds] are perverts.”
Owens was talking about a particular moment from the 37-year-old actress’ 2018 movie in which she kissed Henry Golding as the script demanded. But she also appeared to grab his private part while doing the scene.

Blake Lively was praised by movie’s director for 'addition'
She even reportedly confessed that it was her idea. Also, the film’s director Paul Feig said in the resurfaced clip, “This is one of my favourite additions that you came up with,” as per Page Six.

Lively then said, “That's always awkward, when you're like, 'Hey nice to meet you! Can I grab your **** really hard?’ Not because I want to, because I feel like she would.”
Owens has now called Lively out for her double standards. She added that for the ‘Gossip Girl’ star “grabbing her costar’s” private part seemed “perfectly acceptable” in 2018, but by 2024 she was “clutching her pearls” over Baldoni's behavior on the set.

Netizens call Blake Lively ‘disgusting’

Many people on social media have also thrashed Lively. A person on TikTok commented, “She preaches autonomy but only for her.” The second person wrote, “Rules for thee but not for me.”
An X user tweeted, “She is one disgusting human.”
Another X user shared, “Gotta love equality. Any man would be cancelled forever, probably in jail and she acts like it's no big deal.”

A reader below the Page Six article said, “So, it appears that Blake Lively actually has NO problem with ‘Intimacy’ How ironic............ So why file the lawsuit Blake/ Ryan?”
Another one wrote, “Her conduct is eye raising even more so since her claims against Baldoni. She sure has a double standard for what is ok for her to do and for what men are allowed to do.”
Blake Lively's rep justifies her scene with Henry Golding
Meanwhile, a representative for Lively has defended her.
The spokesperson said, “Blake collaborated and reached an agreement with the director and her co-star before filming the scene. That is the entire point here and that is what Mr. Baldoni did not do.”

“The audio commentary referenced clearly says that she made a creative suggestion, all agreed on it, and it was incorporated through the appropriate filmmaking process,” they added.
