LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Just two days after the now-infamous hotel incident took place, Cassie Ventura went out on events with visible bruises.
Recently, surveillance video footage was released where Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs allegedly physically abused Ventura in the hotel lobby in 2016.
Cassie Ventura was seen with bruises
Per a recently published report, Ventura stepped out two days after the alleged incident took place at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel.
Two days after the incident, the 37-year-old musician attended the premiere of ‘The Perfect Match’ with Diddy on March 7.
On the same day, she opted for two outfits, which offered glimpses of the injuries, per Radar Online.
Per the photos published by Daily Mail, Cassie’s bruises on her legs were visible when she opted for a fitted green dress. In another backless gown that she opted for the premiere, her bruises were visible on her shoulder as well.
Recently, shocking surveillance footage has surfaced on the internet where the music mogul could be seen kicking and dragging Ventura down a hallway of the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.
As Ventura tried to rise, the embattled singer could be seen shoving her and throwing an object in her direction.
Cassie Ventura filed a lawsuit against Diddy
In November 2023, Ventura filed a now-settled lawsuit, where she accused the rapper of rape and a range of other offenses.
In the suit, she accused, "Combs became extremely intoxicated and punched [Cassie] in the face, giving her a black eye.”
As per the lawsuit, she tried to escape the hotel room while Diddy slept. However, she ended up waking him while trying to flee the hotel room on March 5.
The suit continued, "He grabbed her, and then took glass vases in the hallway and threw them at her, causing glass to shatter around them as she ran to the elevator to escape.”
The video, mirroring almost the same events, appeared to have confirmed her allegations. The surveillance video was obtained by CNN.
The suit further read, "Upon realizing that her running away would cause Mr. Combs to be even angrier with her, and completely stuck in his vicious cycle of abuse, Ms. Ventura returned to the hotel with the intention of apologizing for running away from her abuser.”
The duo, however, settled the case within a day of filing. The settlement remained confidential with Diddy saying in a statement, “We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love,” per AP.
