LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a shocking revelation that has sent ripples across the internet, Sean 'Diddy' Combs, the renowned music mogul, was allegedly seen physically assaulting his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in a hotel surveillance video from 2016.

The video, obtained by CNN, has sparked outrage on the internet, with many condemning Combs’ actions and expressing support for Ventura.

The footage, reportedly filmed in a Los Angeles hotel on March 5, 2016, shows a man identified by the publication as Combs chasing Ventura down a hallway, grabbing her by the back of the neck, shoving her to the ground, and kicking her as she lay on the ground.

He then appeared to grab her by her sweatshirt and drag her across the floor.

“The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr Combs,” said Douglas H Wigdor, Ventura’s lawyer, in response to the video footage to the station.

Cassie Ventura's lawsuit against Sean 'Diddy' Combs

In November 2023, Ventura settled a lawsuit against Combs that had accused him of sex trafficking and sexual assault.

According to court filings, she alleged Combs “often punched, beat, kicked and stomped” on her during their relationship.

The allegations were detailed in her 37-page complaint, including an incident in March 2016 at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, which CNN claims matches the allegations in the now-settled lawsuit.

“In or around March 2016, during an FO at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, Mr Combs became extremely intoxicated and punched Ms. Ventura in the face, giving her a black eye,” the complaint stated according to ABC News.

The lawsuit further alleged that Combs had paid the InterContinental Century City $50,000 for the hallway security footage from that evening.

However, the "Hotel is no longer under IHG management, and we do not have any access to prior incident records or footage," the InterContinental representative told the station.

The video has triggered a wave of reactions on the internet. One user wrote on X, “I NEVER WANT TO SEE ANYONE SUPPORT, PROMOTE, ACKNOWLEDGE, OR DEFEND THIS MAN EVER AGAIN. EVER.”

Another added, “For those of you that didn’t believe Cassie all because she settled !!! I hope you eat your words now !!!”

The sentiment was echoed by many others, with one user stating, “If this is just one video, just imagine what she was going through at his house…”

Despite the settlement, Combs has consistently denied the allegations. However, the resurfacing of the video has reignited the controversy and brought the issue back into the public eye.
