Cher gives BF Alexander 'AE' Edwards, 38, ultimatum for commitment as she's worried he'll 'split anytime'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Cher, 78, is reportedly issuing a major ultimatum to her much younger boyfriend, Alexander 'AE' Edwards, 38, urging him to make a stronger commitment to their relationship after a challenging 2024.
Despite the couple's ups and downs over the past year, the iconic singer is reportedly determined to ensure that Edwards doesn't walk away.

A source close to the couple shared, "Cher wants AE to stay close and take care of her, but she's worried he could split at any time and is desperate to make sure that doesn't happen. She needs more of a commitment from him to feel secure."
The couple, believed to have been engaged in December 2022, faced a brief split in April 2023 but reunited shortly after, as per Radar Online.
Although they've reconciled, insiders suggest that Cher is seeking more security in the relationship, and some believe Edwards might not be as committed as she hopes.
The insider continued, “AE's made all the right moves about marriage. They were even engaged for a while, but some friends think he's just riding this relationship for all it's worth and can't imagine him following through.”
Meanwhile, Cher’s determination to push for marriage has not waned. “Cher is determined to make AE honor his word, and some people think she'd even marry him without a prenup. That's how desperate she is,” a source revealed.
Despite the 40-year age gap between the couple, Cher and Edwards have continued to work closely together, with their relationship now intertwined with professional collaborations.

Alexander 'AE' Edwards, a music executive, is also said to be heavily involved in Cher’s upcoming album, which is rumored to be her last.
"She (Cher) claimed that he (Edwards) was not after her money but now he is literally getting paid an enormous amount of money for this new album and she is giving him creative control of it," another mole had previously revealed to the Daily Mail.
The source added, "She has not yet done this but is strongly considering it because she claims he is the love of her life. And, if her album is the last album she does it will undoubtedly be a massive success. When she passes, this gives AE all of the profits for it and he is set for life. Huge red flag."
Cher has also expressed her excitement about working with Edwards on her new music, telling E! News in 2023, “Some of the songs Alexander gave me, so I’m pretty excited about that. He’s a producer and a writer and he does everything, so I’m happy about that.”
She went on to say, "I think like any artist, when you’ve got something good, you’re excited."
