Cheryl Hines gives 'strict ultimatum' to Robert F Kennedy Jr to relocate her to DC after cheating scandal

WASHINGTON, DC: Cheryl Hines has provided her husband Robert F Kennedy Jr with a "strict ultimatum" to relocate her to Washington DC, where he serves as the secretary of Health and Human Services, reported the Daily Beast.

The couple currently share a $6 million estate in Brentwood, Los Angeles. Hines' warning comes months after RFK Jr, 71, was involved in a cheating scandal with Olivia Nuzzi, 32, the former Washington, DC, correspondent for the New York Magazine. 

Nuzzi became allegedly involved with RFK Jr while covering his presidential campaign in 2024. The allegations, which surfaced in September 2024, ended her two-year engagement with Politico's chief Washington correspondent Ryan Lizza. 

However, RFK Jr remained comparatively unscathed over the scandal, as he managed to save his decade-long marriage to Hines, 59, as well as gain a powerful position in the second administration of President Donald Trump.

A spokesperson for RFK Jr refuted the cheating allegations, saying the secretary of health and human services met Nuzzi "once in his life for an interview she requested, which yielded a hit piece," as per NPR.

Insider sources reportedly told the Daily Mail that Cheryl Hines was "blindsided" by the alleged affair of Robert F Kennedy Jr and is "absolutely still recovering from the emotional shock and pain" she experienced because of her husband’s self-proclaimed "lust demons." As a result, she could not trust him being by himself in the national capital.

"Cheryl doesn’t feel Bobby can be trusted one iota living on his own, in DC, even part-time, with so many attractive women and Kennedy groupies around, as he gets settled in his powerful new position. So she’s given him a strict ultimatum – move me or else," revealed one source. 

Commenting on Hines' determination to leave LA, another source noted, "Cheryl’s willing to sacrifice all that glamorous lifestyle to become a political wife, move to DC forthwith, and live in trendy Georgetown, so she can keep a close watch on Bobby."
