Alongside this personal snapshot, she posted a nostalgic group photo of the 'Friends' cast, including Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer.
The images capture the tight-knit bonds that formed between them during the sitcom’s ten-year run, which became a cultural phenomenon.

Earlier that same day, Aniston, 55, also shared her tribute on Instagram, posting a series of four photos of Perry with the caption, “1 year ❤️🩹🕊️.”
Perry’s unexpected death on October 28, 2023, left friends, family, and fans devastated.
He was found unconscious in his hot tub, and an official toxicology report released in December 2023 attributed his passing to “acute effects of ketamine.”
The report identified other contributing factors, including coronary artery disease and the impact of buprenorphine, a medication often used for opioid addiction treatment.
These findings added further poignancy to the tragic event, underscoring Perry’s known struggles and advocacy work for addiction recovery.
In response, the Matthew Perry Foundation has since dedicated itself to assisting others facing similar challenges.

Two weeks following Matthew Perry's death, Courteney Cox became the first of the 'Friends' cast to post a tribute on social media.
In November 2023, she shared her sorrow with followers, writing, “I am so grateful for every moment I had with you, Matty, and I miss you every day.”
Cox’s tribute provided insight into their close bond, formed through years of working closely together on 'Friends.'
She continued, “When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now, here’s one of my favorites.”
Cox recalled a memorable scene from the show’s fourth season when Monica and Chandler share their first night together.
The scene, which aired in 1998, marked a pivotal moment in the series. The storyline originally intended for Monica and Chandler’s interaction to be a one-time affair.

However, due to the audience’s overwhelmingly positive reaction, it evolved into one of television’s most iconic love stories.
“To give a little backstory, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one-night fling in London. But because of the audience’s reaction, it became the beginning of their love story,” Cox explained.
She described a behind-the-scenes moment from this episode, sharing how Perry would often inject humor into their scenes.
“In this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say. He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind. 🤍🕊️,” she reminisced.
The beloved sitcom aired from 1994 to 2004, with Cox and Perry’s on-screen dynamic contributing significantly to its appeal. Their characters, Monica and Chandler, captured hearts worldwide, and Perry’s passing has left a void for fans and co-stars alike.
