Demi Moore aims to break stigmas through 'An Adult’s Guide to Farts'
The playful book, penned by Wonderbelly co-founder Lucas Kraft and brought to life by illustrator Jessica Paige Dawson, aims to shift the conversation about our most natural bodily functions.
Moore offered fans a sneak peek on Instagram, sharing that the book is not just a funny read but also a catalyst for discussions on eating disorders and reducing the stigma surrounding farting.
"Farting… we all do it! So let's talk about it. What better way than with a dramatic reading of @itswonderbelly’s new book 'An Adult’s Guide to Farts,'" her caption read.
She also added that she is an "investor" in Wonderbelly.

"I was first introduced to @itswonderbelly when they came out with their clean ingredient Antacids. As a huge advocate of gut health, I immediately fell in love with the product and became an investor. Now that they’ve launched their new Bloat + Gas product, alongside this hilarious and educational book, I love them even more," she continued in the caption.
In conclusion, Moore commended Wonderbelly for its outstanding digestive products and its initiatives to raise awareness about eating disorders and normalize bodily functions.
She urged everyone to purchase 'An Adult’s Guide to Farts' from Target and to check out Wonderbelly’s other products at Target and CVS stores, giving a special shout-out to friends dealing with stomach issues.
In the video, Moore reads from the book to her adult children, playfully tackling common excuses people use to cover up their farts, such as blaming them on the dog.
In the video, she asks, “What’s the big stink about?” before exploring the book’s insightful message: “Farts are nothing to be ashamed of—they’re completely normal. Cats fart, dogs fart, birds fart, and even bugs fart!”
Toofab highlighted that the guide not only addresses the awkwardness of farting but also provides tips on how to embrace it with confidence.
Lucas Kraft's journey to founding Wonderbelly
Lucas Kraft, alongside his brother Noah in 2022, told People that his personal struggle with an eating disorder inspired the creation of the company.
After his recovery, Kraft began using over-the-counter antacids to manage his symptoms and observed that the ingredients in these medications were frequently the same ones being eliminated from foods, beverages, and beauty products.
“It's still the same brands that were around for generations and nobody's been challenging these companies to meet the values of a younger generation that is experiencing these issues,” Kraft said.
According to their website, Wonderbelly provides an over-the-counter solution made with vegan, non-GMO inactive ingredients.
Demi Moore got to know Wonderbelly through her daughter Rumer, 35 (from her previous marriage to Bruce Willis), who used antacids during her pregnancy.
“Digestive health is an important yet often taboo topic,” Moore said. “As babies, we're celebrated for bodily functions like pooping and farting, but as adults, we often hide these normal processes. Conversations I had with Lucas, a founder of Wonderbelly, inspired the An Adult’s Guide to Farts book, highlighting that accepting these functions is better for our physical well-being.”
After collaborating with the company, Moore gained significant insights into digestive health and the importance of "clean, effective medicine to support our bellies."
She’s enthusiastic about the book seeing it as both an educational tool and a playful way to embrace a topic often considered embarrassing.
To promote the book, the 'Ghost' actress initiated an internet challenge, inviting celebrities and friends like Kelly Ripa, Kate Hudson, and Chelsea Handler to share their own readings from the book.
