LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Demi Moore is adamant to offer her support to ex-husband Bruce Willis as he continues to battle dementia. 

Recently, a source close to the ‘Ghost’ actress revealed to a news outlet per OK! Magazine, that the actress feels distressed seeing the father of her three children suffer while he is battling a neurological disease. 

Two years ago, it was revealed that the ‘Die Hard’ star was suffering from frontotemporal dementia, a few months after being initially diagnosed with aphasia.

Demi Moore vows to stay beside Bruce Willis

A source close to Moore shared with the outlet, that the actress has a special compassion for her ex-husband.

They revealed, "Her heart aches as he struggles with this horrible disease.”

Willis and the ‘G I Jane’ actress previously tied the knot in 1987 before parting ways in 2000. They welcomed their daughters Rumer, 35, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 30, together. 

Willis later moved on with model Emma Heming, with whom he welcomed two more daughters - Mabel, 12 and Evelyn, 10. 

The entire Moore-Willis clan has shown solidarity ever since the ‘Pulp Fiction’ actor was diagnosed with dementia. 

Not only do they celebrate special occasions together but also look out for each other.

The source close to Moore further shared, "Demi made a promise to Bruce that she would look after Emma and Mabel and Evelyn, too.”

"Demi knows that time is slipping away," added the tipster before revealing which is why "she sees him at least once a week."

They added, "She will never abandon him or let him down,” and noted sadly, "Bruce's dementia is progressing.”

Sharing insights into Willis’ condition, they added, "He has speech impairments and can’t speak much at all. These days, his family senses what he’s saying, what he needs by a look.”

Bruce Willis happy as Demi Moore’s career surge

Even though the two stars finalized their divorce in 2000, they have remained good friends. The ‘Indecent Proposal’ actress regularly wishes her ex-husband on his birthdays, Father’s Day, and other occasions.

The source shared, “This [Demi’s career surge] is a really big deal for the whole Moore/Willis/Heming clan,” before adding, "Even though Bruce’s ability to communicate and talk shop have been severely diminished in recent years, he knows Demi is on a hot streak and he can see what this means to her on her face.”

“Being movie stars is their family business and Demi and Bruce have a tradition of cheering each other on after a big win, even long after their divorce, and with the full support of their kids,” shared the insider. 

They continued, “People are throwing opportunities at her and Bruce can tell. Even as Bruce becomes less communicative, he can still watch movies and shows and have a good time and he’s always going to be Demi’s number one fan.”
