Demi Moore reveals her ‘eccentric’ nighttime routine as reason for being single
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Demi Moore has finally disclosed the secret behind her being single and it’s none other than her dogs.
The 61-year-old actress, who had been married thrice, has now been promoting her upcoming movie, ‘The Substance’, and as part of it, she appeared on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on September 9, as reported by NBC News.

During the show, she talked about her pet, a tiny Chihuahua named Pilaf.
“This is Pilaf the little mouse, and she's a pound and a half. She's the runt of her litter. She's a magical creature,” she told Fallon as a photo of Pilaf was shown.

Demi Moore also shared, “I was told that she [her pet] was here to teach me a new way to walk, and I think it's working. Seriously, I was.”

However, Pilaf is not only the priority of the ‘Striptease’ star as she also pets nine other dogs.
Fallon played a video that showed Moore coming home as her pooches greeted her.
The host then mentioned, “That's like a cartoon. That's like The Secret Life of Pets.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Moore then spoke about her nighttime routine, involving her dogs.
She said, “If anybody saw my nighttime routine if it was filmed, they would really see how eccentric I really am. I have to prop pillows so the ones that are this size have the ability to get under the covers.”
“I have two beds for the little ones so that they have the beds within the bed,” she stated, before adding, “Hence why I'm single.”
Demi Moore gushes about her granddaughter
But that does not mean the ‘Indecent Proposal’ actress is not happy with her life as she has her granddaughter Louetta.
She revealed to Fallon, “It's somewhat surreal. But it's incredible. She is the sweetest little thing.”
But Moore preferred to be called "YaYa" instead of Grandma.
She added, “I positioned it perfectly because I knew that in her verbal skills, I would be high on the list. Which I am. YaYa came out quite early.”
Internet reacts to Demi Moore's interview
Users on the Internet gave their opinions about Demi Moore’s single status.
“At her age, especially with three failed marriages, I see no reason for her to marry. She is very wealthy, so there would always be the concern the man was just after her money. At her age, with her family, and as she mentions her granddaughter, she is better off staying single in my opinion. Date, sure, if she wants, but a legal commitment just seems like unnecessary drama and problems for her. She won't be having any more children, there's really no point in entangling herself,” a reader wrote below the Fox News article.
Another one said, “Celebrities thrive off of attention, adoration, and such. All the money in the world doesn't satisfy this. The best spouse in the world...doesn't satisfy this. When she admits she's ‘eccentric’ it's code for ‘it's all about me’. Who could live with that...except dogs? Dogs are not about ‘me’ EVER.”
A third one posted, “She's still single cause she is ‘High Maintenance.’"
“Sounds like she tried marriage and is simply happier now. Not everyone needs to be with a partner, good for her,” a fourth one stated.
“What an awesome human being! She shouldn't be single just because she owns 9 dogs. It's your life Demi, live it how you please!! It actually says a lot about her character and the type of loving person she is,” a fan mentioned.
Another user added, “I don't think it's the nighttime ritual that's the issue. I think it's more a symptom of something much more pervasive.”
