VP Kamala Harris notes Latinos are 'part of the fabric' that makes America great

Taking to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Harris shared a campaign ad that began with her telling radio host Angel Baby during an interview, "You may know Latinas are the fastest-growing small business owners in America. I love small business. I love small business owners because they are truly leaders in the community."

The video then showed clips from her various campaign speeches, in the first of which she said, "President Biden and I are guided by a fundamental belief - we work for you. The American people."

"Our immigration system has been broken for years and it needs to be fixed," admitted the VP in another, adding, "And we also know, and it's the story of so many here, America is a nation of immigrants. Generation after generation, immigrants have made our nation stronger."

She further declared, "My mother arrived in the United States at the age of 19 years old by herself. And because of the fact that my mother never asked anyone for permission to pursue her dreams, that within one generation, I stand before you as Vice President of the United States."

In the end, Harris asserted, "So President Biden and I are fighting to secure a pathway for citizenship, including for dreamers and families, and to make our immigration system more orderly and humane. We will also raise the federal minimum wage. We will invest in affordable housing, affordable child care, and paid family leave. And when we fight, we win."

"We are excited to launch Latinos con Biden-Harris. Latinos are part of the fabric that makes this country great, and the power of the Latino vote will help decide this election. Together we are organizing to win in November. Text LATINOS to 30330 to join us," read the caption of Harris' X (formerly Twitter) post.

The campaign was officially launched formally launched during President Biden's stop at Phoenix.
