MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Embattled rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs is ready to move earth and heaven to avoid prison. And the last move in his arsenal appears to be a presidential pardon from Donald Trump.

The 55-year-old disgraced music mogul faces 15 years to life in prison if convicted of federal charges levelled against him.

Even though a jury's decision won't be made for weeks, one expert already believes Diddy won't win this trial based solely on his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura's testimony this week, according to Perez Hilton.

Now, it has been revealed that Diddy’s close allies have already begun cozying up with the inner circle of President Donald Trump to lay the groundwork for clemency pleas.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs' allies seek Donald Trump's presidential pardon

A source recently told Rolling Stone that people close to Sean "Diddy" Combs have been trying to gain favor among those in Donald Trump’s orbit since he won the presidential election in November 2024.

The Bad Boy Records founder despises the president, but he is so desperate that he will do anything, even bringing his allies up to him, according to a source who has known Diddy for many years.

“He’s willing to do anything to get out of jail,” the insider tipped, adding, “He’s always been this way. He’s always going to do what he has to do to get out of a situation. He doesn’t even like Donald Trump.”

According to Rolling Stone, Diddy's team is attempting to win over Trump by comparing their stories, two successful businessmen allegedly targeted by federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York, with “baseless” accusations of assault.

In addition to trying to convince Trump-adjacent individuals of the pair's similarities, Diddy’s allies are also allegedly reminding the president's supporters that Trump has known him for a long time and has previously commended his behaviour.

"I love Diddy," Trump said in an episode of 'The Apprentice' before adding, "You know he's a good friend of mine; he's a good guy."

Suge Knight believes Donald Trump will pardon Sean 'Diddy' Combs

This came after Sean "Diddy" Combs' longtime rival, Suge Knight, sensationally floated a theory that Donald Trump would pardon the rapper if he is convicted of the charges.

In an interview published on Wednesday, May 14, Knight said that Diddy possesses the power and influence to merit a potential pardon from the president while speaking over the phone from prison with Chris Cuomo on the journalist's NewsNation program 'CUOMO'.

“I think he’s got some favors with the government. I think they’re gonna show him a little leeway,” he suggested, according to the Billboard.

“It might not seem like it when it’s all said and done, but I don’t think he has nothing to worry about, and I don’t think he’s worried because he’s gonna be federal, and if he gets convicted, Trump’s gonna pardon him,” the rapper added.

He also suggested earlier in the interview that Diddy and his associates would attempt to influence jurors. “I still feel that Puffy is going to be all right and have a fair shot at it,” the Death Row Records founder proclaimed.

“He’s not a not a dummy. And I’m quite sure somebody going to talk to those jurors and convince one or two of them that’s all you need, is one,” he added.
