Diddy's mom heckled with taunts during court appearance to support rapper alongside his children
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Sean 'Diddy' Combs' elderly mother, Janice Combs, appeared in court along with his six children to show support to the disgraced rap mogul who was arrested last month.
Diddy, incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after his arrest over sex trafficking and racketeering charges on 16 September, made his first public appearance since at the Manhattan court on Thursday, October 10.
The 54-year-old had a smile on his face while entering the courtroom through a side door, embracing all his lawyers ahead of being presented before Judge Arun Subramanian.

Heckler shouts Diddy is a 'predator' as Janice Combs appears in court
The 84-year-old Janice Combs, joined by six of her grandchildren, faced heckling while she entered the Manhattan court premises, according to The Daily Beast.
What that man (using that word loosely) did is undeniably discussing and evil to its core. But come on, hounding & questioning those kids is low. Leave them alone. #Diddy #diddybailhearing pic.twitter.com/5bfIC9EFF7

"Janice, your son is a predator," a man screamed at Diddy's mother, who came wearing oversized sunglasses and an animal print coat over her white t-shirt. "Your son is a predator and he deserves to be locked up," the heckler continued.
The Combs matriarch and Diddy's children remained silent and paid no attention to the reporter's questions as they stepped out of the car minutes ahead of the hearing.
The embattled rapper's 17-year-old twins, Jessie James and D'Lila Star, Chance, 18, came to the court separately with their elder siblings Quincy, 33, Justin, 30, and Christian, 26.
Janice recently broke her silence about her son's indictment in a statement to Local 10 News. She claimed Diddy was "not the monster they have painted him to be" and the allegations were a "narrative created out of lies."
Judge sets Diddy trial date for Spring 2025
Judge Arun Subramanian scheduled the trial for Diddy's indictment on May 5, 2025, in accordance with the defense team's request for a spring 2025 date.
According to the prosecution, the case is expected to last three weeks, while the defense estimated it would take only one week. The judge indicated that he might issue an order barring both parties from discussing any non-public evidence related to the case.
Diddy pled not guilty last month to the severe federal charges accusing him of sexual abuse and conducting the infamous "freak offs" over the years. The music mogul requested bail thrice but to no avail.
Responding to the 120 lawsuits that emerged against Diddy in the past weeks, his attorney Erica Wolff said, "As Mr. Combs’ legal team has emphasized, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus. That said, Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors."

Diddy's legal woes started last year when his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, filed a lawsuit alleging him of assault. Though it was settled, the accusations later prompted a raid at his Los Angeles and Miami homes in March. Homeland Security confiscated 1000 bottles of baby oil, AR-15 rifles, and ammunition.
