NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Sean “Diddy” Combs’ infamous criminal trial has once again become the hot topic of the town, but this time due to a very different reason: sketches coming out of the courtroom.

Because of the federal charges levelled against Diddy, the presence of "electronic media" like cameras has expressly been banned in the courtroom under a procedural rule passed in 1946, according to USA Today.

With cameras prohibited from the courtroom for trial, the public's only look into the proceedings is courtroom sketches.

Media outlets have hired courtroom sketch artists to quickly draw what they see as trials unfold. However, it seems like the public isn’t impressed with the courtroom sketch, with many calling them ‘cartoon’ or ‘meme material’.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs looks unrecognizable in courtroom sketches

The courtroom sketches have been eliciting some laughs because of their cartoonish nature, but the ones of Sean "Diddy" Combs show how his appearance has changed since his arrest last October.

In one of the sketches, the music mogul looked nearly unrecognizable with salt-and-pepper hair and a matching goatee. In the court appearance, Diddy also wore civilian clothes, which included a black pullover on top of a white collared shirt, dark slacks, and a pair of glasses.

Another sketch caught Diddy blowing a kiss to his mother, Janice, and making a heart with his hands as she led his family into the courtroom to support him.

Apart from Diddy, several courtroom sketches even depicted the emotional appearance made by his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, who took the stand on May 13.

Jimmy Kimmel mocks Sean 'Diddy' Combs’ crazy courtroom sketches

As the courtroom sketches make rounds on the internet, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel couldn’t stop himself from mocking the art. “The Diddy trial in New York, it’s pretty crazy,” Kimmel said in his monologue on Thursday, May 22.

“And even the courtroom sketches are crazy, because this is supposed to be Sean Combs,” the host said as he showed one of the courtroom sketches, drawn by artist Christine Cornell during his May 14 hearing.

“It looks more like an evil Luther Vandross. Here’s another one from a different artist,” Kimmel joked.

He showed another viral sketch, saying, “This one looks like Diddy knows how bad the drawing’s going to be and is like, ‘Really? You’re going to draw me looking like Danny Glover saw a ghost?’”

“Why did we settle on sketch as the official courtroom art? When I get locked up, I want to be sculpted. I would like a courtroom sculpture artist to depict me.”

“These drawings look so little like Diddy, I keep getting confused and thinking Uncle Ben is being tried for sex crimes,” he continued.

“They shouldn’t be making sketches of Diddy. They should be oil paintings, specifically,” Kimmel said, in a joke that garnered some gasps from the audience, followed by applause, according to Daily Beast.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs' courtroom sketches make the Internet go ROFL

Despite being the only look into the proceedings, the courtroom sketches have failed to impress internet users, with many calling them ‘meme material.’

A user wrote, "The Diddy courtroom sketches are prime meme material.”

"Court sketch got Diddy looking like Uncle Ben," one more user joked.

"The Diddy sketch artist needs to be put on trial next,” another user blasted.

"The Diddy trial sketches are killing me," an X user wrote with a laughing emoji

“Looks like they were drawing a white dude and then halfway through decided to put Diddy's face on him,” a Reddit user joked.

“His forehead is big enough for a second face,” another wrote.

Another commented, "Peak meme material, right there."

“Do they get these courtroom sketch artists from the boardwalk?” a user attacked.
