'Disgusting': Laura Loomer reacts to Tucker Carlson's presence at Trump's White House meeting
WASHINGTON, DC: MAGA influencer and Trump ally Laura Loomer intensified her criticism of Tucker Carlson after he was spotted at the White House during Trump’s meeting with oil executives on Venezuela on Friday, January 9, 2026.
Carlson’s presence raised eyebrows, given his recent public criticism of Trump’s Venezuela operation, with Loomer accusing him of hypocrisy and questioning how he gained access to the meeting in the first place.

Laura Loomer fumes over Tucker Carlson’s presence at meeting
Loomer first reacted on X after Carlson was seen attending Trump’s roundtable with US oil executives, where Venezuela’s energy sector and licensing issues were discussed.
“SPOTTED: Tucker Qatarlson is currently at the White House, where he is attending President Trump’s meeting with oil executives to discuss how to acquire the largest oil reserves in the world in Venezuela,” Loomer wrote on X.
She went on to question why Carlson was present at all, citing his recent attacks on Trump’s foreign policy.
“Why is Tucker Carlson attending when he has spent the last week completely trashing President Trump’s military operation in Venezuela and falsely claiming that President Trump is about to get us into a New World War?” she added.
Loomer further described Carlson’s appearance as “outrageous and disgusting,” accusing him of having “no business being in the Oval Office.”
Hours later, Loomer escalated the controversy with a follow-up post, alleging that Carlson was not originally meant to attend the Venezuela meeting at all.
“I was told that Tucker Carlson was at the White House for a lunch and he overstayed and crashed the Venezuelan oil license meeting,” Loomer wrote.
She then questioned who facilitated his access.
“Who did he have lunch with? Which office sent him the WAVES form? I look forward to seeing the WAVES records. I think we all know, though.”
The WAVES system is used to log and approve visitor access to the White House and Loomer’s remarks suggested internal scrutiny over how Carlson was cleared to remain on the premises.

Tucker Carlson's past criticism of Trump
Carlson has been an outspoken critic of Trump’s approach to Venezuela using strong language in recent public statements.
In October, Carlson claimed that Donald Trump sought to remove Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro from power to legalize gay marriage in the country.
Carlson had argued that “we’re not going to go kill Nicolas Maduro just because we dislike how he governs,” adding that it’s “possible we’re upset about things like his refusal to allow gay marriage,” though “no one will ever say that out loud.”
Tucker Carlson believes it’s a “distinct possibility” that the U.S. captured Maduro to *checks notes* “bring gay marriage to Venezuela.”

Tucker's comments on 'The Tucker Carlson Show' drew flak.
In the weeks leading up to the military action by Trump, he had publicly warned that US involvement in Venezuela could lead to broader conflict, questioning whether regime change efforts would benefit the United States at all.
