GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN: Former president Donald Trump made fun of Vice President Kamala Harris for the way she laughed in his first campaign rally since surviving the assassination attempt a week ago. The Republican presidential nominee addressed his supporters at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Saturday, July 20, with his vice presidential pick, Sen JD Vance.

While talking about taking back the White House from President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris, Trump called the first female No. 2 in power "laughing Kamala." He also resorted to "crooked Joe Biden," the often-used nickname for his successor.

"I call her Laughing Kamala," the MAGA spearhead said, according to the Washington Examiner. "You ever watch her laugh? She's crazy. You know, you can tell a lot by a laugh. No, she's crazy. She's nuts."

Nevertheless, he added that Harris was "not as crazy as" former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The ex-president also labeled the Democratic lawmaker "crazy Nancy" before telling the crowd she "turned on [Joe Biden] like a dog," referring to her shifting stance on whether the 81-year-old should continue in the race.

Pelosi, who asked Biden to "do whatever he decides" last week, reportedly took a u-turn in recent days. One report suggested she conceded in a recent private conversation that he would be unlikely to defeat Trump in November.

Similarly, another report said the congresswoman expressed her willingness to conduct a "competitive" open primary over replacing Harris if Biden stepped down.

Harris, who accepted Biden's running mate ticket after unsuccessfully competing in the 2020 Democratic primary, was the most speculated replacement to the incumbent, who faced heightening calls for his exit from the re-election bid.

According to the polling average by RealClearPolitics, Trump was only two points leading over the Democratic VP than his three-point lead over Biden.

However, in a recent meeting with Democratic donors, she ensured the Biden-Harris ticket would win in November, indicating her support of the octogenarian continuing in the race.

Internet criticizes Trump for ridiculing Kamala Harris' laugh

Furious at Trump's insulting remarks over the way Harris laughed, netizens claimed he was frightened of strong women like the incumbent VP and Pelosi.

"Trump fears strong women. These are the two women he fears most," a user said.

"He calls her 'laughing Kamala' and we call Trump 'The laughing stock of the world,' another remarked.

"He’s frightened of Kamala," added a third user.

"Trump nicknames always poke fun at a person's vulnerabilities, and if 'Laughing Kamala' is the best he can do, that may be the best sign she can beat him," another person wrote.

"He’s terrified of her becoming the candidate," an individual claimed.

"Any man that'll openly disparage women like this repeatedly is a complete and utter disgrace," someone else said.

"He’s afraid of strongly opinionated women who will question his lies.. always deflecting away from his insecurities.." another user chimed in.

"Prosecutor Kamala would eat this man alive in a debate. Laughing Kamala should be reserved for the glad handing. In a debate she needs to go for the jugular and she is more than capable," read one  remark.
