Drake trolled as he seemingly responds to ex Serena Williams’ Super Bowl halftime cameo with cryptic post

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Drake seems to have subtly taken a shot at his ex-girlfriend, Serena Williams, following her cameo during the Super Bowl LIX halftime show performance with Kendrick Lamar. 

During the 13-minute performance, Lamar took several jabs at Drake, and fans quickly noticed a particular dig when Williams appeared on stage during the diss track 'Not Like Us.' 

Although her cameo was brief, millions of viewers, including celebrities like Angel Reese and Stephen A Smith, caught the reference and voiced their opinions on the moment.

Drake subtly responds to Serena Williams' performance with Kendrick Lamar at the Super Bowl

Days after Serena Williams' Super Bowl performance, Drake shared a photo on February 12 via his burner Instagram account, @plottttwistttttt. In the image, he is seen sitting behind a woman and wrapping his arm around her neck.

According to the Daily Express, the woman in the photo is Jill Smoller, Serena Williams' longtime agent.

Drake and Williams were rumored to have been romantically involved back in 2011.

Archive photos from Getty Images show Drake attending the 2015 Wimbledon Championships to support Williams during her match against Garbine Muguruza. In these images, Drake is seen enjoying the match, shaking hands with Smoller and her team, chatting with Venus Williams, and watching the game with OVO's Chubbs.

Smoller, in addition to her role as a sports agent, briefly pursued a career as a tennis player. While the status of her current relationship with Williams is unclear, it's reported that Smoller has moved on since Williams decided to step away from the sport.

A source shared with Just Jared that Drake is "angry" about Williams’ Super Bowl halftime performance with Kendrick Lamar but is trying not to outwardly show it, adding that he is "acting like he doesn’t care."

Drake's post quickly gained traction, receiving over 39K likes and countless comments mocking the rapper. One user joked, "This next album bout to go crazy." 

Another asked, "Lmfao, is this from the Serena match? 😂😂"

Some fans trolled Drake with a GIF from Lamar's Super Bowl performance, captioning it, "Say Drake." 

One user asked, "You trying to hook up with her or what?" Another comment read, "Literally can't help yourself but be a creep LOL." 

A confused fan remarked, "Only Serena will know exactly what this means 😂." One person on Instagram wrote, "Drake, you gotta activate villain mode." Another claimed, "Serena's darkest secrets will come to light soon...😂😂."

A commenter quipped, "Bro on the burner wilding."
