LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Eric Roberts expressed his "devastation" after being ousted from 'Dancing With the Stars' Season 33, but he claimed to be further "hurt" as co-host Julianne Hough compared him to convicted scammer Anna Delvey.

Hough compared Eric to Delvey because he was reluctant to respond to any of her questions after elimination. For the unversed, Delvey said she gained "nothing" from the competition at all when she was sent off the show recently.

Eric Roberts says Julianne Hough comparing him to Anna Delvey 'hurt my feelings'

Eric Roberts, 68, and his dancing partner Britt Stewart, 35, were one of two couples who got eliminated from the competition during Hair Metal Night on Tuesday, October 9. Besides them, Emma Slater and Reginald VelJohnson were also eliminated.

Following Eric's elimination from the competition, 'DWTS' co-host Julianne Hough spoke with him, but he did not have much to say. This led Hough to compare the 'Lumina' actor to the con artist.

"Is this another ‘nothing’ moment?" Hough, 36, questioned.

Roberts quickly refuted, stating, "No, no."

Eric was shocked by Hough's mention of Delvey. The actor admitted to Us Weekly, "That really hurt my feelings. It really hurt my feelings."

"I was devastated at how badly I danced, and I was speechless. To be compared to somebody I don’t really know made me feel funny, but I’m fine."

Elsewhere in the conversation with the outlet, Eric addressed his elimination and said, "It’s a very simple answer. It’s very sad that I have to leave Britt [Stewart]. It is very happy that I don’t have to learn another dance."

Eric was eliminated after a two-night 'DWTS' competition. He and Stewart danced a foxtrot to Al Green's song 'Let's Stay Together' during Soul Train Night, on Monday, October 7.

They dedicated the routine to Eric's wife, Eliza, and received a score of 24 out of 40. The next night, Stewart and Eric received a 22 out of 40 for their paso doble to Warrant's 'Cherry Pie.'

Eric said he and Stewart would cherish "a great friendship" from the show regardless of being eliminated.

"Britt and her man, [fiance Daniel Durant], and me and my woman have a double date already planned. I’m taking something out of here forever," Roberts remarked.

Eric Roberts shares marriage advice

Eric Roberts, 68, acknowledged that winning the Season 33 Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy was never something he planned to do. But since his wife Eliza Roberts has always been a fan of the dance competition series, he decided to compete.

Eric, who has been married to his casting director wife since 1992, told Page Six, "I’m on this show because my wife loves this show. I was never out to beat anybody. I was just dancing and my wife loves the show, so I did it for my wife."

This came after Eric disclosed on Monday's Soul Train Night that he had recently offered Stewart some sly marriage counsel.

Without being bashful about discussing the NSFW talk, Eric said, "What I told Britt was, the combination to a happy marriage – and a long, happy marriage – is, of course, honesty … it’s hard … and …"

"And sex," Stewart came along in. Eric added, "If you’re having loads, you’re good to go."

During the Soul Train Night, Eliza, 71, had her own golden moment when she got on the dance floor with Eric and Stewart. Following the foxtrot, Eric quickly made his way over to the audience and drew his wife in for a kiss.

Regarding the endearing moment, Stewart told Page Six, "That was my idea. I just really wanted to honor their marriage. Eliza, she’s here supporting Eric every single week. She’s in our rehearsals every single day."

The professional dancer went on, "She really is a third member of Team Brightside," alluding to her and her partner's team name. "So we just wanted to dedicate a dance to her and really celebrate her and their marriage."
