SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: In an alarming move, billionaire Elon Musk, owner of the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), shared an AI-generated video depicting former President Donald Trump violently attacking and killing President Joe Biden, as per The Raw Story.

The Tesla CEO, who captioned the post, "Best AI video to date!" has since faced widespread backlash, with netizens calling for the video's removal from the social media platform.

Elon Musk draws flak for sharing AI-generated video of Donald Trump killing Joe Biden

The video features Donald Trump, as Neo from 'The Matrix', dramatically stopping bullets mid-air and battling an agent designed to resemble Joe Biden. In its climax, the GOP presidential nominee is seen kicking the incumbent to the ground and jumping onto his body, causing it to explode. The clip ends with Trump flexing victoriously.

David Leavitt, a multimedia journalist, shared a screenshot of Musk's post and wrote, "Elon Musk shares ai video of Donald Trump murdering Joe Biden in a plagiarized Matrix scene."

In a subsequent post, he tagged the US Secret Service and questioned the appropriateness of sharing such violent content. He asked Musk, "Why are you showing videos of Donald Trump murdering Joe Biden?"

Leavitt further stated, "If the roles were reversed with Biden murdering Trump, every republican would be screaming and Elon Musk would immediately have the account banned. That the owner of a social media website is sharing this and also saying it's the 'best ai video to date!' says everything."

NAACP leader Derrick Johnson also condemned the video, emphasizing the recent political tensions and violence.

He wrote, "Only a week after a political assassination attempt, [Musk] posts an AI video of President Biden shooting at Donald Trump. It’s sick. This is exactly the kind of content that platforms like Elon’s should moderate. It only promotes violence and division. Elon, take it down."

This isn't the first time Musk has shared something that can be seen as politically charged. He recently introduced hashtags themed after Trump, featuring branded images and special effects, according to Forbes

Hashtags like "#MAGA" and "#Trump2024" now appear with small images of Trump with his fist in the air and an American flag, respectively.

These branded hashtags, referred to as "hashmojis," have typically been used by advertisers to promote events, products, and brands, lasting about 24 hours. However, it remains unclear how much these particular hashtags cost, as X's branded features page does not list prices.

Musk’s public endorsement of Trump, following the former president’s narrow escape from an assassination attempt, has further cemented his political stance. "I fully endorse President Trump," declared the Tesla CEO after the incident.

The billionaire has been increasingly vocal about his right-wing positions on issues like immigration, free speech, and vaccines.
