Ex-ESPN host David Pollack asks fans to keep his wife Lindsey in 'prayers' as she faces brain surgery

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former ESPN anchor and college football star David Pollack shocked fans on Monday, March 10, with a deeply personal revelation—his wife Lindsey Pollack is battling brain cancer and preparing to undergo surgery.
The former TV host, 42, shared the emotional news on X (formerly Twitter), asking his followers to keep Lindsey in their thoughts during this challenging time, Daily Mail reported.

"I do not share much of my personal life on social media but today is gonna be different," David Pollack wrote in the X post.
"If you are the praying type, please lift up my wife Lindsey. She has brain cancer and surgery is Wednesday at Duke," he continued.
Despite the grim news, Pollack expressed his unwavering faith in God, adding, "So thankful to serve a loving God that meets us in our struggles!"

Pollack had not previously disclosed his wife's illness, making his announcement all the more shocking.
While Lindsey tends to stay out of the public eye, she and David have dedicated themselves to philanthropy through the Pollack Family Foundation, which promotes fitness, nutrition, and healthy lifestyles while raising awareness about childhood obesity.
The couple shares two children - son Nicholas, a high school junior, and daughter Leah, a high school sophomore.

Lindsey Pollack, a Lilburn, Georgia native, earned her early childhood education degree from the University of Cincinnati before pursuing further studies at the University of Georgia.
Fate seemed to work in David's favor when their paths crossed in Georgia, and their bond only grew stronger over time, as per Essentially Sports.
As David achieved major milestones, including being named the 2002 SEC Player of the Year, 2004 SEC Defensive Player of the Year, and winning both the Lombardi Award and Lott Trophy in 2004, Lindsey remained his unwavering support system.
Before his career as a TV personality, David was a standout college football player at the University of Georgia.
The couple also officially launched The Pollack Family Foundation in February 2016. The foundation aims to positively impact communities by empowering families in the Athens and Greater Atlanta area, focusing on faith, family, and community, with a vision of thriving communities and strong families, as per the Pollack Family Foundation website.
