LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, who were married from 2000 to 2005, are now rumored to be all set to reunite on-screen after his split from Angelina Jolie, according to Radar Online.

The couple, whose relationship timeline began in 1994 when they met, started dating in 1998.

They made their red carpet debut together at the 1999 Emmys, and Pitt proposed to Aniston soon after. The duo got married in 2000, and famously divorced in 2005, but have remained close friends ever since.

Their reunion at the 2020 SAG Awards made headlines, marking a public appearance together post-divorce. Prior to that, Pitt also made a memorable appearance at Aniston's 50th birthday celebration.

What did sources say about Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston's reunion?

According to the outlet, reports of a potential reunion between Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have been buzzing after the 'Friends' star kept details about her upcoming film under wraps, reportedly due to its leading man.

Sources revealed that Aniston had an "open invite" from Pitt to collaborate again. One insider shared that a script is currently being considered that could be a perfect fit for the two, especially amidst Hollywood's growing rom-com trend.

A longtime friend disclosed, "Brad has actually been pitching ideas to Jen for years now, but she's always resisted."

They added, "She didn't want to complicate his divorce from Angelina, but was also focused on her own projects."

However, with Pitt’s divorce behind him, both stars are looking for a box-office hit, and Aniston is reportedly excited about the latest script his team has sent her.

Hollywood bigwigs are scrambling to get involved if Aniston agrees to the project, with her ex-husband’s frequent collaborator, director David Fincher, said to be eager to help reunite the couple on screen.

Another source, close to the exes during their marriage, noted that even late-night host Jimmy Kimmel has provided input on the script. "It's going to be total box office gold to see Brad and Jen let off steam in a rom-com," they said.

Brad Pitt's GF Ines de Ramon 'unsettled' after reports of a possible reunion with his ex-wife

The potential reunion between Hollywood exes Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston is reportedly causing some tension with Pitt's current girlfriend, Ines de Ramon. A source close to the situation revealed, “When Ines and Brad first got close, there was nothing but vitriol for Angelina, but never Jen.”

The insider continued, “Jen was always off limits from criticism and almost on a pedestal in Brad's eyes at how she handled what was a pretty shocking divorce.”

The source added, "Ines has accepted that he's still in contact with her – he insists it's because he 'owes her' after she left him their production company, Plan B, without a fuss. But having them go for it in a romantic comedy will surely be unsettling for Ines."

In 2020, Pitt and Aniston reunited for a star-studded virtual table read of 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High' for charity, and their undeniable flirtation sparked speculation about their chemistry, with many saying it’s still “off the charts.”

An insider noted, “Ines' feelings won't stop this rom-com though, Brad needs to get a few wins back on the board. His last few movies have not done that well, including last year's Wolfs with George (Clooney).”

The source added, “If Brad is able to get Jen on board, it would revive both his movie career and get her back in the big-screen game.”
