Jennifer Aniston feeling 'hurt and betrayed' by Brad Pitt and Courteney Cox’s new friendship
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Nearly two decades after his high-profile marriage to Jennifer Aniston ended, Brad Pitt is reigniting old friendships — including with Courteney Cox, his ex-wife’s 'Friends' co-star.
Now, as Pitt and Cox bond alongside their respective partners, Ines de Ramon and Johnny McDaid, it appears Jennifer Aniston may be feeling excluded.
Brad Pitt and Courteney Cox 'picked up right where they left off'
A source recently disclosed to In Touch, “Brad and Courteney were really tight when he was married to Jen."
"They used to spend a lot of time together, but once Brad left Jen for Angelina, that friendship fizzled out. Recently, they've picked up right where they left off."
"Courteney wouldn't have resumed a friendship with Brad without Jen's OK," the source explained, as per Marca. "After Brad's divorce from Angelina, when he and Jen reconnected, she let her friends know it was fine to hang out with him again."
Brad Pitt’s history with Jennifer Aniston is legendary, spanning from their 1998 romance to a 2000 wedding that symbolized Hollywood’s golden couple.
Their split in 2005, allegedly triggered by Pitt’s connection with Angelina Jolie on the 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' set, brought the relationship to an end.
Although Aniston moved on with Justin Theroux, her friendship with Cox has always been a cornerstone of her support system.
Interestingly, Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid, her 'Snow Patrol' musician boyfriend, have grown fond of Pitt.
McDaid and Cox have been together since 2013, and Cox has allegedly gushed about her partner, “I’ve never met someone more patient… He’s a great advice-giver. I love his heart, his intentions. His morals."

This also comes as Cox posed for a rare photo with Pitt at the Rock4EB fundraiser on Sept. 21, more than two decades after Pitt appeared as a guest star on 'Friends,' as per E! News.
Brad Pitt's double date plans with Courteney Cox, Johnny McDaid and Ines De Ramon
Reports indicate that Brad Pitt has been eager to arrange double dates with Cox and McDaid, and his own girlfriend, Ines De Ramon.
This social arrangement, however, has reportedly created some discomfort, especially for Aniston.
“Brad is really keen on setting up these double dates,” an insider shared. “But Jen didn’t expect Brad and Courteney to get this close again, and it’s left her feeling pushed aside.”
With Brad spending time with the couple, the bond has grown deeper, as a source notes, “Brad has gotten to know Johnny and really bonded with him and of course he’s really fond of Courteney.”
However, this evolving social dynamic seems to be stirring unexpected tension for Aniston, who once gave her friends permission to reconnect with her ex-husband.
As the source explained, “Courteney is respectful, she wouldn’t have started the friendship up again without Jen’s blessing. Once Brad and Jen reconnected after his divorce from Angelina, she gave all her close friends the greenlight to let him back into their lives.”
Yet, the source suggests that Brad’s eagerness to organize double dates has strained the situation: “That doesn’t mean this hasn’t left Jen feeling very hurt and betrayed.”
As much as Cox values Aniston’s friendship, it’s clear she has her hands tied. “It’s a very awkward situation because Courteney can’t order Johnny not to hang out with him or make these dinner plans, and Jen’s too proud to put her foot down.”
Caught between loyalty to her best friend and her rekindled camaraderie with Pitt, Cox may find herself navigating challenging waters.
The source goes on to say that Aniston is especially disappointed in Pitt: “She’s most angry at Brad for proving yet again that he’s got zero sensitivity or awareness, but Courteney isn’t off the hook either.”
