Several social media users also pointed out that there was no reliable evidence to support the assertion that Sweeney publicly expressed her political views or voting choices. As a result, the rumor soon gained reputation as fake news due to its baseless origins and lack of factual backing, as per Snopes.

Additionally, Sweeney’s official social media profiles on X, Instagram, and TikTok make no mention of her political opinions or voting decisions.

In response to the growing rumors, a fan account on X @sweeneydailyx addressed the situation, writing: "STOP FAKE NEWS. Sydney Sweeney has NOT given her support to Donald Trump, and she has not revealed her vote. SHE DOES NOT TALK ABOUT POLITICS, and her decision is respected. Stop using Sydney for political issues, get a life. #Election2024."
