LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Dave Grohl’s daughters are reeling after the Foo Fighters frontman revealed a deeply personal betrayal.

The 55-year-old confessed to cheating on his wife, Jordyn Blum, and fathering a secret daughter in an Instagram statement on Tuesday, September 10. 

The couple, who have been together since 2001 and married since 2003, share three daughters, Violet Maye Grohl, 18, Harper Willow Grohl, 15, and Ophelia Saint Grohl, 10.

In the wake of the revelation, the rock musician's two eldest daughters, Violet and Harper, have removed their Instagram accounts, signaling their distress over the shocking news.

Dave Grohl’s reveals about his secret marriage

In his Instagram post, Dave Grohl disclosed, "I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her."

He added, "I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We're grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together."

Dave Grohl's bond with his three daughters

Violet Maye Grohl, born on April 15, 2006, in Los Angeles, has followed in her father's musical footsteps. At the age of 12, she joined Dave on stage to perform Adele's 'When We Were Young' during a benefit for UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals in 2018. 

In April 2021, the duo released a cover of punk band X's 1980 song 'Nausea', and in June 2023, they performed together at the Glastonbury Festival, where Dave hailed her as his "favorite singer in the world," as per Daily Mail.

During their joint performance, Dave dedicated the song, 'Show Me How', to his mother, Violet’s grandmother. As they wrapped up the performance, he proudly exclaimed, "That’s my girl!" and joked about the occasional misstep during their performance, saying, "I love it when you’re on stage with your daughter and you hit a bad note."

Harper Willow, born on April 17, 2009, had her first piano lesson from Paul McCartney at the age of five as recounted by Dave in his 2021 memoir, 'The Storyteller'. She joined her father and sister on stage at a 2018 benefit concert, performing an acoustic version of Foo Fighters' 'The Sky Is a Neighbourhood'.

Dave's youngest daughter, Ophelia Saint, born on August 1, 2014, made a cameo appearance with her father on the Nick Jr series 'Ryan's Mystery Playdate' in October 2019.
