LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sophie Turner broke her silence on her split from Joe Jonas and how she found support in her friend Taylor Swift.

The 28-year-old actress opened up about the intense media scrutiny and personal struggles she faced after her divorce from estranged husband Joe Jonas.

Recalling the tumultuous period of her life after Jonas filed for divorce from Turner, she said, “I mean, those were the worst few days of my life."

“There were some days that I didn’t know if I was going to make it. I would call my lawyer saying, ‘I can’t do this. I just can’t,’" continued Turner, who shares daughters Willa, three, and Delphine, 22 months, with Jonas.

"I was just never strong enough to stand up for myself. And then, finally, after two weeks of me being in a rut, she reminded me that it was my children I was fighting for," the actress explained.

"Once anyone says to me, ‘Do it for your kids,’ I’m doing it. I wouldn’t do it for myself, but I’ll find the strength for them,” Turner said in the interview with British Vogue.

The 'Game of Thrones' star credited Jonas' ex-girlfriend Swift for providing support during her difficult time after the dissolution of her four-year marriage.

Expressing her gratitude to the 'Karma' singer, Turner said, “Taylor was an absolute hero to me this year."

"I’ve never been more grateful to anyone than I am for her because she took my children and me, and provided us with a home and a safe space,” she shared, adding, "She really has a heart of gold.”

At the time of Turner's divorce from Jonas, Swift loaned the actress her Tribeca pad in New York City.
