WASHINGTON, DC: Former Donald Trump attorney Jenna Ellis criticized the 45th president for not providing financial support to his co-defendants despite reportedly raising a substantial sum following the guilty verdict in the New York hush-money case.

The attorney denounced the Republican presumptive nominee on social media while responding to a report by The Post Millennial, a right-wing news outlet, that claimed the real estate mogul's campaign raised $400 million since he became a convicted felon last month, as per Newsweek.

Ellis, who was part of Trump's legal team during the 2020 presidential campaign, is one of the 18 co-defendants in the election interference case in Fulton County, Georgia, for supporting the former president's attempt to overturn Joe Biden's victory in the 2020 election.

Jenna Ellis says Donald Trump did not give 'one dime' to his co-defendants

In a series of X (formerly Twitter) posts, Ellis accused Trump of not financially helping his co-defendants, who had massive legal fees to cover.

"$400M reportedly raised. And still not ONE DIME given to anyone else indicted," the former Trump attorney wrote. "Incredible."

In another post on X, Ellis emphasized she was not complaining about herself and asked everyone to take her "out of the equation." She added, "Why hasn't he given to literally ANYONE else's dedebse? J6ers? Pro-lifers targeted?"

"And yet his co-defendants are going bankrupt," Ellis said in another post, noting former Trump White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows "reportedly has spent everything he has on legal fees."

"A lot of regular people need help in their defenses, not just the billionaire," she continued her Trump bashing.

Last year, Ellis pleaded guilty in the Georgia election interference case after agreeing to cooperate with prosecutors. During her guilty plea at the Fulton County court, the former Trump attorney stated she had "deep remorse" for being a part of an attempt to reverse the former president's 2020 election defeat.

Several media outlets are reporting that Rep. Andy Biggs is planning to challenge House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy in his bid to become Speaker of the House.

Admitting her failure to do her due diligence, Ellis noted she believed in the value of election integrity and would not have joined Trump's post-election challenges if she had known everything earlier.

Trump, who was found guilty on all 34 charges of falsifying business documents to conceal the payment to porn actress Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election, claimed at last week's Turning Point Action event that he raised almost $400 million post his conviction, according to The Post Millenial.

As per the outlet, the former president reiterated his claims of the hush money trial being "rigged" and "conflicted," adding it was only brought up because of his decision to run for president.

Internet ridiculed Jenna Ellis for complaining about Donald Trump not giving a dime

Netizens mocked Ellis over her "ridiculous expectations" as she complained about Trump not helping his co-defendants financially.

One user wrote, "Talk about having ridiculous expectations. She really thought Trump was going to help her?"

Another remarked, "As we all knew (and apparently nothing's changed), Jenna isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer..."

"Duh. Jenna, you’re learning a lesson the hard way," added a user. One response read, "Really, does Jenna think Trump is a charity? He's not. Trump had a charity. It lined his pockets."

Another person wrote, "Anyone who decides to work for him should already know the criminal is probably not going to pay them yet these clowns continue to fall at his feet."

"Camon Jenna, you should have studied Trump's track record on 'how supportive he is' when the ones who help him go down," someone else chimed in.

An individual said, "Did she really expect him to??? If she did it was a wonder she could even get a law license anyway."

Another user added, "Doesn't she know him at ALL? It's hilarious, these people always think he'll treat THEM better than the other hundreds he's thrown under a bus.."
