Garth Brooks’ performance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ scrapped after assault allegations by makeup stylist
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Country music legend Garth Brooks will not be performing on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ after assault allegations against him came to light.
Brooks has been in the news lately following accusations of sexual assault made against him by his hair-and-makeup stylist. He allegedly attacked her while they were in a hotel in 2019.
At the time, they were reportedly traveling from his hometown of Nashville to Los Angeles.
The 62-year-old singer’s accuser, identified only as Jane Roe, filed a lawsuit against him at a Los Angeles Superior Court in early October. The suit was filed the same day when Brooks performed at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
He even posted a photo of the show at his Las Vegas residency and captioned it as “If there was ever a night that I really needed this, TONIGHT was that night! Thank you for my life!!!!!”

Organizers said Garth Brooks’ concert won’t be ‘rescheduled’
Since then he has been out of the public eye. However, he was expected to be seen on November 25 for a mini-concert on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’.
But it seems impossible because as per an email sent to ticket holders, who reportedly bought it from the live audience company 1iota, “Unfortunately, the Garth Brooks Outdoor Mini-Concert at Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, 11/25 has been canceled and will no longer proceed as scheduled," according to The Sun.
The mail continued, “Television production decisions can fluctuate due to a variety of reasons. We hate delivering disappointing news, and we hope you will join us in the future for another exciting fan experience.”
“Unfortunately, in the world of television, these things sometimes happen. This event will not be rescheduled,” it added.
This came two days after 1iota on its social media page wrote, “Garth Brooks is bringing his magic to @jimmykimmellive with an exclusive outdoor mini-concert! Be there as country music’s legend lights up the stage. Request your FREE tickets via the link in our bio!"

Garth Brooks claims he’s ‘not the man they have painted me to be’

Meanwhile, Brooks had denied the accusations in a statement, as reported by WSMV4.
The ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes’ singer claimed, “For the last two months, I have been hassled to no end with threats, lies, and tragic tales of what my future would be if I did not write a check for many millions of dollars. It has been like having a loaded gun waved in my face.”
He further stated, “Hush money, no matter how much or how little, is still hush money. In my mind, that means I am admitting to behavior I am incapable of—ugly acts no human should ever do to another."
“We filed suit against this person nearly a month ago to speak out against extortion and defamation of character. We filed it anonymously for the sake of families on both sides,” he continued.
“I want to play music tonight. I want to continue our good deeds going forward. It breaks my heart that these wonderful things are in question now. I trust the system, I do not fear the truth, and I am not the man they have painted me to be,” Brooks added.
